Historia
It starts with the body of a Hollywood producer in the trunk of a Rolls-Royce, shot twice in the head at close range - what looks like "trunk music", a Mafia hit. But the LAPD's organized crime unit is curiously uninterested, and when Harry follows a trail of gambling debts to Las Vegas, the case suddenly becomes more complex - and much more personal.

Unfortunate Debutant
Revisado: 03-27-24
I did not mind the virtual voice except for the persistent mispronunciation of bow like the bow of a ship.
Oddly this was not all the time. Also the word modiste, as in dress maker , was mispronounce as if were modest . This was only a few times but did no one listen to how often bow was wrong? I found myself shouting at that, But I liked the story so I kept listening.

Needs a thesaurus
Revisado: 06-02-19
Interesting premise. The story and the characters are superior to most but the narrator needs to understand proper emphasis.
I liked the book except for the incessant use of the word LAD.
Sometimes lad was used several times in one paragraph. This became so grating that repeatedly
I had to stop listening until I got over my irritation.
Boy ... child ... youngster ... By the characters name ... James or Jamie ... whatever the spelling was in the book.
Where was the editor ?? Writing 101 teaches that a closely duplicated word should be replaced by a synonym.
