Historia
Civilization was born 8,000 years ago, between the floodplains of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, when migrants from the surrounding mountains and deserts began to create increasingly sophisticated urban societies. In the cities that they built, half of human history took place. In Babylon, Paul Kriwaczek tells the story of Mesopotamia from the earliest settlements seven thousand years ago to the eclipse of Babylon in the sixth century BCE. Bringing the people of this land to life in vibrant detail, the author chronicles the rise and fall of power during this period.

overall disappointing
Revisado: 04-10-25
He picks and chooses what he thinks is reliable. feels like it was written with a personal bias not a factual or historical fundamental understanding of who people are.

Historia
Daniel was instructed to conceal the words and seal up his book until the end times (Dan 12:4). In the spiritual realm, I imagine he placed the Book of Daniel in a sealed jar, and it has laid dusty in a corner of heaven for 2500 years. But what if God has just broken open the jar? Should we re-examine all of our favorite prophecies anew now that Daniel is unsealed? I think the answer is a resounding, YES! Using sound biblical exegesis, we uncover the shocking identity of the Beast Kingdom, the countries that make up the Ten Horns of the Beast, why Time, Times, and half a Time is divided ...

Revisado: 03-31-25
first you have your own blog and you tube channel but have to have ai read your book for you. second leaves out the significance of parts of the proficiency that clearly relate to specific nations. third ignores other things that tie the prophecies together and to specific nations and specific things to those nations. fourth and most important although there are many other points. we as Christians are not called to look for signs of the coming tribulation. we are called to look for christ. the parts that are written in Hebrew in daniel are for the Hebrews or Israel. we can learn from them but gentile believers reading those parts are reading mail meant for someone else as a warning.

Historia
The Troubles. A quaint name for a horrific period in the galaxy's history. A period whose atrocities were superseded only by the terror of the Savage Wars that had come before. Almost no corner of the galaxy was spared a taste of terrible war, cutthroat intrigue…and remorseless death. In the aftermath, this battered galaxy now longs for peace and stability. The Republic, now reformed, seeks to govern by the rule of law. But no matter how sincere the reform, how earnest and well-meaning the ruler, some worlds refuse to place their destiny in the hands of others. Ever again.

can't get past the bad narration
Revisado: 01-16-25
boyett is fine in other books but he takes over a very well established series and can't bother to research how the names and words have been pronounced for the first 2 season plus the type of characters you are reading for. The wraith and Ford characters are completely different than how they were read by brc bray. it's al timid and unsure. I find it distracting and makes it into a story and characters that I used to love into one that I'm not that interested in. I know rc bray is hard to get but they have to be able to do better than this.

It all started with the geese. The Firefly crew is eager to get paid for their latest job, but when payment arrives as a gaggle of geese instead of a purse, their stay on the planet Brome gets an indefinite extension. No matter that the geese will fetch a pretty penny once they get somewhere to sell them. Without coin, they can’t buy fuel, and without fuel, they can’t get offworld. Serenity is stuck.

it's okay. rc bray only reason I keep listening
Revisado: 12-13-24
they have many people of Latin, English/American, and african descent that speak the languages fluently but can't remember how to say the names of geographic places some of which come directly from their one languages they still use. I find it annoying and far fetched. in listening to the next book it's clear that no real outline is used for the broader story. much like the simpsons there are good parts in the newer stuff but the series would be so much better if it ended in an earlier. Just my opinion.

Historia
Jack Dana is a former marine infantry officer and Force Recon platoon leader. He is also the author of three successful books. It may seem odd that someone like Jack - honor graduate of the corps' toughest combat schools - should become a novelist. But there's the other side of Jack: the Yale graduate, the only child of a Harvard philosophy professor father and a flutist mother who played with a Boston-based chamber orchestra. As Jack would say, "The truth is that to everything there is a season."

Historia
Legion Dark Ops has always been a unit shrouded in secrecy. Tasked with performing covert missions, its kill teams are filled with the best warriors from within the ranks of the Legion. Kel Turner is one of the youngest legionnaires ever to be selected to its ranks. After many battles and trials, he is faced with the greatest challenge of his life - operating by himself on a remote planet at the galaxy's edge, a foot soldier for the policies of the duplicitous House of Reason, tasked with solving a crisis that would take ten kill teams to resolve.

the narration put me off right away
Revisado: 06-17-24
I don't know if I've just come to expect too much from narration put stephen dexter to me is no where close to the right fit for GE books. It was so intense and melodramatic like a soap opera one minute and then just kind of cheesy goofiness the next. and 90% of the male voices where too nerdy and effeminate sounding. I know not everyone can be RC Bray but I've listened to others in GE and they didn't negatively effect the story like this. It didn't help the the story just kind of felt meh also. Interested about kel Turner after GE season 2 not so much anymore. Just very disappointing. I know dexter is used it some othe books in this series as well and I'll probably avoid those. Love GE in general this is the first one I did not. It was the perfect storm of not interesting enough story paired with the absolutely wrong narration.

decent side story
Revisado: 06-13-24
I liked the story as a sort of side action to pre-A19, post kublar in the GE. should have picked a better narrator. it's not that he was bad. He just didn't have a deep or gruff enough voice to pull off a legionair bucket voice or sound even remotely tough. I know not everyone can be R.C. Bray but this wasn't even close.

The problem with lying about having a super weapon is that the bad guys might believe they have nothing to lose by doing something stupid that both sides will regret. Or, they might just call your bluff. Either way, the Merry Band of Pirates need a plan to deal with the Fallout.
