A bravely told story of love
Revisado: 09-10-23
Bravely and articulately told, this is a story of one family’s tragic experience with the suicide of a beloved family member. Linda shares the story of her son, who tragically took his own young life, the events leading up to his suicide, the days immediately following, and the journey of their grief. Using their family’s experience and hindsight, Linda offers insight and information for survivors, those struggling with mental health, those who are grieving, those whose loved ones are struggling, and friends and supporters of all of the above. This book is truly a work of love, not just for Linda’s beautiful son, but also for humankind. It is a story of faith in God and faith in a society that must move forward toward kindness and empathy. And it is a story of hope. Thank you to the Pacha family for this gift.

Historia
Welcome to Derry, Maine. It’s a small city, a place as hauntingly familiar as your own hometown. Only in Derry the haunting is real. They were seven teenagers when they first stumbled upon the horror. Now they are grown-up men and women who have gone out into the big world to gain success and happiness. But the promise they made 28 years ago calls them reunite in the same place where, as teenagers, they battled an evil creature that preyed on the city’s children.

Spoiler…Children having sex.
Revisado: 05-07-22
It was annoying enough to have constant descriptions of women’s and girls breasts for no apparent reason. I chalked it up to a male writer with no clue how to write about women. But I was repulsed at the long, descriptive sex scene between 11 year old children. Children having sex for the entertainment of adults is pedophilia. I finished this WAY overlong book in hopes of a reason or literary justification for the scene but found none.
