Historia
It was supposed to be a simple job: Tail the Italian for an evening, see if he was up to anything shady, and report back to the Bratva. But I didn’t expect him to go into gay bars. Is someone trying to out me to the Bratva? Am I being set up? Now, we’re both in way over our heads. Our only hope is working together. And even then, I’m not so sure we’re getting out of this.

Best RomCom I’ve read in a minute
Revisado: 03-21-25
Michael Ferraiuolo always knocks it out of the park. This is my 2nd LA Whit book and I’m quickly becoming obsessed. Both authors absolutely perfected the character dynamics in my opinion. Chemistry between characters (or the lack thereof) makes or breaks a book for me. Easy companionship, especially so early in a relationship, can be frustrating, but it just seems so natural between Nikita and Lorenzo that I seriously didn’t have any timeline complaints.
You Had One Job isn’t a tearjerker necessarily but pay attention to the TWs! I’ve never struggled with addiction myself but I can see how this aspect would be triggering. Addiction isn’t just a single mention and move on; MC openly discusses their addiction and is an active user for the entire book (minus the epilogue).

Historia
What happens when fate calls your name? Especially, if that fate includes a strikingly handsome stranger, who just happens to be a...vampire. Patrick never thought he'd meet his soul mate when he'd agreed to go out to a club with his friend. It was a tired scene, and no one seemed worth his attention. That is, until he tried to leave, but found himself unable to move once he saw the gorgeous stranger approach him. He wasn't even gay. What was happening to him? Justin hated the club scene too. Yet, that night, he felt compelled to go there, and once he saw Patrick, he couldn't leave his side...

Sweet-ish but Frustratingly Missing Plot Lines
Revisado: 04-10-24
I actually really enjoyed the overarching sweet romantic theme. However, there were so many missing plot lines. Conditions were right for the MCs to be fated mates but it was never clear if that was what the authors intended or if it was more of a mind control sitch? Conditions were right for lots of family angst but details were veiled and murky at best and never came to fruition. I basically kept expecting the details to unfurl later in the book but it never happened and was frustratingly disappointing.
The story line is more of a college pregnancy romance. Like young and in love. Forgot to wrap it before they tapped it. They all live HEA and are the most sickeningly sweet little family to ever exist. The end. 💜
