Horrible Narrator/Good Story
Revisado: 03-13-25
If you’re going to use adult words in your text, please choose a narrator that sounds like an adult. The narration completely distracts from the storyline and literally gave me a headache. Such a shame.

The breathy narrator needs to go!
Revisado: 01-30-25
Pretty good story. This is one to read vs. listening to it here. The narrator’s breathy voice made me want to cringe and fast forward through much. This really distracted me from the story line.

Horrible Narration - Super Story
Revisado: 01-30-25
The breathy voice of one narrator is awful. The nasal tone of the other is yes, very much like that of the voice of Marge Simpson. Such a shame since the story is a good one.

Cut the entire part of the male narrator
Revisado: 01-06-25
No need for the sex descriptions. Seems a cheap and sophomoric way of selling what was already a good book Those sections completely distract the reader from the content.

Less than average cost mystery series
Revisado: 03-31-23
I’ve listened to all of these. The fact that they are “less than average” made them perfect for what I needed - background noise while working and completing tasks around the house. LOTS of filler - especially if you listen to them consecutively. AND, if I hear “Daniel Boone National Forest” ONE MORE TIME…would make a great drinking or auto sit-ups or push-ups game. The author uses this term/phrase so often and so unnecessarily, I almost took the time to look up and see if she was being paid to advertise this specific forest. So - probably not worth credits unless you need some white noise.

Go back to the previous narrator who narrated the first book in series. This is so terrible I may have to either speed up narration, skip forward to end or turn it OFF.

Narrator all wrong - go back to Fiona H.
Revisado: 11-15-22
Ugh - loved the first book in the series. Love the stories. But, the narrator in the first book was soooo much better than the one hired to do the narration on the 2nd book in the series. Too breathy, too slow. Even if I speed it up, it doesn’t help. Yuck! Bring Fiona back!!

Good, but frustratingly disturbing and a bit too long. Not a relaxing read.
Revisado: 08-28-22
I listen to all kinds of crime thrillers, mysteries and suspense novels. The narration in this story is excellent. The story is a good one as well; however, this story was particularly disturbing to me and I’m not disturbed by much. It was disturbing in a frustrating way. The novel is too lengthy. The suspense factor could have been amped up with a shorter story while focusing on different aspects of the timeline and characters.
