Surprisingly sweet

This book has a very hard to like heroine, and a less than "sweep you off your feet" hero, yet, in the end, it's surprisingly endearing! They all come around for the HEA. This was worth the listen!

I don't mind sex scenes , in fact, I usually enjoy them, but how many times can they talk about him dipping into her "cream" before it gags you? Also, the no means NO! idea is completely fine in this book. I found it vulgar, uncomfortable and rather disgusting. Just my opinion, other opinions may vary.

So Bad!

I've never felt so strongly in the negative about a book, but this one is bad beyond belief! I usually like to hear Anne Flosnik read a book, but this one makes her sound like count chocula on crack. I had to slow it down to even make sense of it. I usually speed books up. That's only the beginning of the pain that is this book. I tried to listen to it, I REALLY did, but i couldn't even make it to chapter 3. Yes, it's THAT BAD!

A book and good narrator, but BAD end result.

The book MIGHT have been very fun, and the narrator was good, but the two did NOT mesh well together. Finishing this book was honestly a chore. It's a shame because neither of the two were were bad, they just didn't mesh well. The story DRAGS along, and the narrator's speed and speech patterns slow it down more. He is good at what he does, but when you have a detailed book, and a methodical narrator.... Oh and it became a game to count how many times the phrase, "gun powder" could be used in a single chapter.

How can that many talented authors come together to make such a mess? I don't know but it happened here. This was a snooze fest and i only made it all the way through because I paid a full credit for it. This was a huge waste! pass!

not what I expected

There were a lot of breathy moments by ms. Flockhart which made it weird to listen to. the material was sometimes a comedy based on the audiences reaction, but it was not in the end. I don't feel any emotional connection to any of the characters because they all felt contrived and out of a cartoon on how silly people can be.

Great story but TERRIBLE narrator!

I would love to give this all 5 stars, the story is fun and charming, but the narrator ruined the whole book for me. She basically has 2 voices, 1) women who sound okay and 2) Men who are all angry, mono-tone and lacking in any emotion.
This is a terrible shame because the book is quite good. I will never buy a book narrated by this woman again. She really ruined it. It was like listening to a lecture from my mono-tone biology teacher. HORRIBLE really!
I would recommend reading the book, but skip this one for Audible because the narrator is really, truly that bad. Sorry, but it's true.
