Predictable but not?

This was a great storyline. It wasn’t your typical bully high school romance but so much more. I predicted who the sister Paige was seeing but did not predict who was behind it all and how it went down. I love the relationship between December and Royal and December and Ramses. I kinda wished that Ramses had gotten with December but she already had eyes for Royal. I’m glad the end tied everything up but was also disappointed how it thru all of the loose ends together. Still a great read….now its onto the other two court series!

It has humor, heartbreak, rivalry. Everything all wrapped in one. Not to mention I love both of the narrators. They are both my favorites here on audiobooks. I have recently found this author and am smitten with her books.

It started out like any normal day. Then the fender bender happened. The guy I collided with drove an expensive car and was drop-dead gorgeous. Too bad he was also a total jerk. We argued over whose fault it was and any other thing that came out of his condescending mouth. Eventually, the police came and we went our separate ways. The insurance companies would have to figure things out. I had a job interview to get to anyway - one I was excited about. Though that excitement changed to disappointment the moment the person interviewing me walked in. The guy from the accident.

The first time I met Chase Parker, I didn't exactly make a good impression. I was hiding in the bathroom hallway of a restaurant, leaving a message for my best friend to save me from my awful date. He overheard and told me I was a bitch, then proceeded to offer me some dating advice. So I told him to mind his own damn business and went back to my miserable date. I couldn't help but sneak hidden glances at the condescending jerk on the other side of the room. Of course, he caught me on more than one occasion, and winked.

This book captures you right away. She brings the characters to life! U actually understand the flow of conversation. I do wish Joe aka Bossman had more talking parts. But it still captures your heart and even made me cry tears of sadness and happiness.

The sex scenes are good but could be better. Are these teen books? Lol I already figured out the killer in the first book it’s never the obvious choice. I just wish Harlow had a more one on one relationship with Lincoln but has a foursome when they wanna play sort of speak. She still hasn’t told the rest of the guys about her cancer, what’s up with that? I like that she can play poker and fit in with the guys but why does she still get these shy moments? She is supposed to be badass isn’t she? Is this just to show she can still be vulnerable? I hate that River can’t fully hear but I guess the Kings have to have some kinda flaws. What gets me is if the rule the school why can’t they make Savanna eat her words? Ugh
