Good book. Got lost geographically a few times and missed some key things towards the 75% mark. Book 2 isn't recorded yet, so I'm bummed.

Shadow of the Moon is the story of Winter de Ballesteros, a beautiful English heiress come home to her beloved India. It is also the tale of Captain Alex Randall, her protector, who aches to possess her. Historia
When The Far Pavilions was first published 19 years ago, it moved the critic Edmund Fuller to write this: "Were Miss Kaye to produce no other book, The Far Pavilions might stand as a lasting accomplishment in a single work comparable to Margaret Mitchell's achievement in Gond With the Wind." From its beginning in the foothills of the towering Himalayas, M. M. Kaye's masterwork is a vast, rich, and vibrant tapestry of love and war that ranks with the greatest panoramic sagas of modern fiction.

Good Story, Audio isn't chapterized in pt 2.
Revisado: 01-07-21
It was interesting. Honestly I expected a better ending though. Considering the meticulous writing of the first half, it wasn't a fun read at the end with all the narratives closing.

There was no reason for this book to be published.
Revisado: 12-12-20
Terrible book. Approximately nothing happens within it. Plotlines picked up from the previous book and suddenly all of the characters have various mental illnesses (ptsd, mpd, etc). Unfortunately it's extremely difficult to make out clear differences between the characters. They all think, talk and act the same way. Nothing impactful occurs within the book. It should have been a 3.5 novella with at most 10 chapters. The book starts out in the war camps with Shalon as she attempts to root out a rebellion. Great! Im excited! Oh... it goes nowhere. (Case and point for the entire book.) Characters are moved through the world constantly with little to no plot development. SPOILER: There was absolutely no motivation for the enemy leader to suddenly switch tracks and start being all cuddly with the tower queen once they took over the tower. Kaladin's story was absolutely awful. 90% of his chapters are of him moping about himself. 90% of Shalons chapters are of her moping about himself. Shalon and Adolin are a newly married couple! Yay! Do we see them ever interact with eachother? I'm not talking about sex, I mean the cheesy stuff like holdin hands. It felt like they built up to get married and then act like they're just friends. Yes there is a scene where they lie in bed together. At the very end. There is no marital joy expressed. I do not reccomend this book to anyone. Kate and Michael did a great narration, but the story was not worthy of them.

Historia
Kell is one of the last Travelers - magicians with a rare, coveted ability to travel between parallel universes. As such, he can choose where he lands. There's Grey London, dirty and boring, without any magic, ruled by a mad King George. Then there's Red London, where life and magic are revered, and the Maresh Dynasty presides over a flourishing empire. There's White London, ruled by whoever has murdered their way to the throne. And once upon a time, there was Black London...but no one speaks of that now.
