The female narrator for Thea is the same as for the main character in « Happy Ever Playlist » by Abby Jemenez. Even their two personalities from two separate writers are blending into one. Very Annoying
The deed is done. But I have to return this book as listening to the story lost its charm.

Am a bit late experiencing this historical fiction author. She brings an intelligent…realistic story to life. Am humbled and grateful to read her words. Very brave recounting of a wrenching war and possibly the everydayness that families endured to survive. Poignant. Unforgettable.

I am à nurse. The first ten chapters were well received technical information. Honestly, beyond the nutrition and need for true physical motion, excercise; the last chapter on emotional health and Peter Attia’s journey, was both informative and profound. Will ré listen to whole book; but especially the finale again.

Reading all other Will Robie novels, this deepened the trust and depth of previous characters. So much chaos to delve through. But an incredibly intelligent and interesting plot.
Intriguing, to say the least.

Poignant intermingled lives via hotel. Seemed as if a beautiful meaningful story was always next page. Evolution became more of a juvenile adventure. Was it the writer style or the narrators presentation?

FASCINATING

Am only part way through this. One of the few novels that even the ending cannot dim my interest. Coming from a medical background, the author is almost intuitive. Heart wrenching and intelligent.

Nothing Less Then Brilliant

Am late getting to this book. Am on contract coast of Maine on the blessed Penobscot with more then a week off to be still, appreciate, and be grateful during this very difficult time in history. That said, this book is so very eloquently written with a plot and characters that draw you from first to last. Surreal that there is a fungus(vs a virus) that is taking civilization down a different path as we know it.
Both zombies and humans are real and as engaging as any author can bring on the page to life or otherwise. Thank you M R Carey for this needed respite for just a little while. SLB
