The bitterness and anger that came through the pages
Revisado: 04-15-25
I thought the story was pretty good, a little surprising in places, and a bit predictable in some places. But, we can't always get it all perfect every time! I enjoyed the flashbacks, gave a little background as to why this was happening in the first place....I thought the ending was fitting, and I loved it, I do wish we had a little closure on somethings....,but,I enjoyed this so much!

Surprise bad guy I never saw coming
Revisado: 04-09-25
I thought the story was fantastic and told in a fun and provocative way! It made me wonder if there are "capture" clubs IRL...and there probably are, this is a crazy world we live in!! I never saw the kidnapper/killer coming - caught me totally by surprise when they were finally revealed! I didn't love the ending...was it who we think it was?? In my ending it was, and that's all that matters 😊

Erika: His name is Michael Crist. My boyfriend's older brother is like that scary movie that you peek through your hand to watch. He's handsome, strong, and completely terrifying. The star of his college's basketball team and now gone pro, he's more concerned with the dirt on his shoe than me.

Hot, Steamy, XXX-rated
Revisado: 01-21-25
Pretty much a porn in book form... but, no judgement here, I read the WHOLE book 😉! It's totally over the top, and completely unbelievable, and hot, hot, hot! The only reason it didn't get a higher rating from me is I didn't care for the female narrator. It was a pretty good book other than that tho!

Decent, not as good as Verity
Revisado: 01-07-25
I thought it had a good story, I liked the different POV's, it wasn't as good as Verity, but it was decent. I like how this author doesn't stay in a box and only write one type of book! She keeps it interesting

Relayed in his own unsparing voice, Demon braves the modern perils of foster care, child labor, derelict schools, athletic success, addiction, disastrous loves, and crushing losses.

Amazing, best book I read all year
Revisado: 12-19-24
I had this book in my library for a long time before I read it, I just kept skipping over it, but I am so glad I finally read it! it was amazing, the best book I read all year!!
I am a foster parent, and have adopted 2 boys from foster care and my boyfriend lived on the streets from the age of 15-24, so this book put into perspective so much of the things they may have been through! Some of the stories in this book were almost verbatim to things my kids or my boyfriend have told me! This author did such an amazing job and brought this character to life! I always hate when a book ends because you become so invested in the characters and want to follow their lives forever, lol!

Never disappoints
Revisado: 12-03-24
A little bit too similar to the last one, but it was still very good! It was so nice to finally have some "closure" on some of those story lines that have been carried through out the whole series, and there were a couple of twists thrown in I wasn't expecting which made it a little bit more interesting...not sure if it's really the LAST one or not, but it was a good one nonetheless!

A couple of twists I wasn't expecting
Revisado: 11-22-24
**Possible spoilers**
I thought the story was great, I loved how the original victim was made to be not quite so innocent, so it made me understand why the person was going after the men, but also how the men didn't deserve all of the blame...I don't love books that end all tied up in a sweet little bow at the end... but, over all, I thought it was entertaining and I'm glad I read it!

Historia
Every object has a ghost. There is a small yellow backpack - half unzipped, mouth yawning to the pavement, contents strewn around it (a banana, an exercise book, a pair of scissors) - abandoned on a suburban footpath. Ten feet away, the rubber stamp of tyres, resisting clamped brakes, mount the curb and cut across the path. The tracks come to an end at a crippled stop sign. The street, a tree-lined suburban road dappled in late-afternoon sunlight, is calm. But anyone walking past can feel the ghosts: the prickle on the back of their necks that tells them something happened here.
