Historia
Harri's descriptions soar from the mundane to the sublime and take the intimate details, understanding, and experience of the awakened state to an entirely new level. He makes clear that this life of ours can be a delightful continuum of perception from the deep liveliness of expanded consciousness to the smallest details of daily life. It is not necessary to go to heaven in order to experience heaven or to be divine. Instead, these are natural aspects of individual awareness that are usually hidden and misunderstood.

Historia
On his last combat deployment, Lt. Cmdr. James Reece's entire team was killed in an ambush that also claimed the lives of the aircrew sent in to rescue them. But when those dearest to him are murdered on the day of his homecoming, Reece discovers that this was not an act of war by a foreign enemy but a conspiracy that runs to the highest levels of government. Now, with no family and free from the military's command structure, Reece applies the lessons that he's learned in over a decade of constant warfare toward revenge.

I wanted to like this book more then it turned out I did. The story didn’t develop much depth to the characters. Didn’t make me feel a connection to the lead protagonist.

Lot's of potential...
Revisado: 07-29-16
What did you like best about Orphan X? What did you like least?
I really wanted to love this book but had such a hard time with the mix of characteristics the books hero Evan Smoak had. Couldn't get comfortable with a guy who made time to babysit a neighbor's child while in the midst of life and death situations. Also of all the super sleuth killer lead characters I've ever read about...the authors buildup of the training and gadgets, weapons and so many other "only the best oves" in his arsenal of weapons seemed over the top.

Unnecessary!!
Revisado: 09-17-15
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I found book 4.5 in the series as it's called to be a waste of time and unnecessary to the tale. And although I love Mr. Kings writing skills I don't think he should read his or anyone's books. Especially following a master like Frank Muller.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
Waste of time...
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Poor reading skills...
Did The Wind Through the Keyhole inspire you to do anything?

Historia
Terrorism, duty, and personal safety collide when Jake Pendleton, an investigator for the NTSB, is called to investigate an aircraft accident in Savannah, Georgia during the St. Patrick's Day celebration. The accident, which at first appears to be quite run-of-the-mill, turns out to be anything but. Since Jake is not willing to pretend there are no suspicious circumstances and more than the usual share of rather unlikely "coincidences," he sets off a veritable avalanche of secrets, violence and treachery.

Someone has tried to kill the French president. How many snipers can shoot from three-quarters of a mile with total confidence? John Kott—a U.S. Army marksman gone bad—is one of them. After fifteen years in prison, he’s out . . . and there’s a G8 summit coming up, packed with enough world leaders to tempt any assassin.

Disapointing...
Revisado: 09-14-14
What did you like best about Personal? What did you like least?
Did not like much about the story at all. I least like Dick Hill's reading. He sounds older and raspier than I recall his earlier readings. It transfers to the sense of who Jack Reacher is...
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Not sure??
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Dick Hill?
Yes...
Any additional comments?
Maybe after a long absence of any new material I have changed what I am looking for...

Enjoyed the book...
Revisado: 08-31-14
Where does The Enemy rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This is my second book in this series and although as some other reviews have stated the main charter Victor was very different in book two from the first book. It was a little of-putting at first but then it was fine and engrossing. Lots of hard action to say the least...
Who was your favorite character and why?
Victor, cool and calm in the face of danger!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
At times.
