A young American actress visits 221B Baker Street seeking help from Sherlock Holmes and. despite the Prime Minister and his cabinet needing Holmes to solve a murder case Holmes agrees to assist the actress. Working on two cases at once is no match for Sherlock, even with the likes of John D. Rockefeller and J.P. Morgan being involved. Holmes must use all his physical and deductive abilities to prevent chaos in the political and economic spheres on both sides of the Atlantic and protect innocent lives. This is book one in the Sherlock and Lucy James series and she is introduced and becomes a major part of the unfolding mystery. Very enjoyable Listen!

The Wilhelm Conspiracy was a very delightful listen. Full of Historial figures and historical references. Loved how the story line included Nikola Tesla, King Edward VII, and Kaiser Wilhelm II, along with Sherlock Holmes and Lucy James. The plot twists and possible villains added up to a very mysterious and delightful conclusion. Great addition to the series. Glad to know it will continue.

All classic Holmes readers will enjoy this classic style mystery. The plot and character development are both excellent. The story, while quite long, never bored or became uninteresting. The Christmas theme of the story was an added bonus.

This is a great mystery by Cornwall without excessive foul language and over written political lecturing. It reminded me of some of her earlier writing. Enjoyed her expanded view of her core characters. She really is one of the best writers of forensic mysteries when she fills each line with creative facts, phrases, grammar, and character development. Recently her political correctness and excessive cursing really wore me out. But this novel was a great read/listen.

Steven Wallace does a fine job of quickly conveying relevant and interesting facts about this American statesman and president. This is the first time I have listened to one of his many historical biographies. James Monroe is a more interesting than I expected. Learning about his service to our country, his various political appointments, and his perseverance in light of many setbacks and inevitable political disappointments was very illuminating. The telling of the story was so interesting I was wishing for more as the book ended. Thomas Rode added just the right tone for the listener to respect and enjoy his telling of Monroe's impressive life.

Watson Questions His Sanity After Holmes Death

There is no way to say this somber account of Sherlock Holmes final mystery is a joy to hear. But it is a story well shared in the Classic Conan Doyle style. Watson is charged by his long time friend, Sherlock Holmes, to find out who had just killed him. All signs point to a natural cause of death but Dr Watson has his own opinion.

The narrator is spot on with the characters interactions and he has different voices and reflections for each. The author superbly keeps the pace of the storing moving steadily to a dramatic climax. As the story builds towards it end the listeners anticipation and anxiety for what is coming next is very exciting. The interactions between Watson, Lestrade, and Mrs Hudson are very satisfying. You are in for a real treat!
