Historia
What caused the bees to attack is not known. This was the beginning, barely noticed. Then the terror began to spread terror that was to erupt into a national panic as the strange, seemingly purposeful murderous attacks of a new and vicious species of bees began to mount. Against this background, a band of scientists draw upon their knowledge to fight an enemy they only partly comprehend in a desperate race against time.

Killer Bee's
Revisado: 03-01-16
Is there anything you would change about this book?
It was written almost like a news report, think orson wells 1938, which is fine but I would liked to have had more accounts of the bee attacks and descriptions of what kind of physical effects being stung to death would have had. I think the author could have really terrified us.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
Overall it was a very believable premise and a readable story.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Yes because I like this type of animal apocalypse story.

Historia
I didn't know who I was. The official story was shipwreck, and, though I know there was more to it than that, I never asked. Life for me began eight years ago when my uncles fished me from the sea. Keeping me had meant one more blanket on a floor and one more plate on a table that had little enough to start with. I was quick to find ways to make up the difference. I had skills that helped me to pick my marks and contribute my share. I also had plenty to learn about life on the street.

Love a good pirate tale
Revisado: 03-01-16
What did you love best about The Sea Dragon's Lair?
Loved the main character Danny. I admit, I didn't figure out Danny's secret until it was revealed and WOW didn't see that coming.
What other book might you compare The Sea Dragon's Lair to and why?
I don't really know, maybe a bit Robinson Crusoe. I loved that the characters were so authentic and relatable. It's writing was reminiscent of the classic authors of yesterday and I mean that as a compliment. I don't find many authors of today that can tell a story the way a Daniel Defoe or Jules Verne can.
What does Joel Froomkin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He has a pleasant voice and does characters both male and female pretty well and a good narrator brings the characters to life for me.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, this book was a page turner, action, adventure and plot twists what more could you want.
What did you like best about this story?
I loved the idea of this secret brotherhood protecting the world from itself. It's very "DaVinci Code" like and who doesn't love Greek mythology. I found myself really believing this society was real and had to remind myself that this was a work of fiction. It really had me asking, "what if..."
Which character – as performed by Jeffrey Kafer – was your favorite?
I really liked Fiona! What an interesting character. She's 18 and becoming a young woman, dealing with and overcoming adversity. She is a vulnerable yet strong female character.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes

While Wisconsin is now perhaps best known for its die-hard love of both the Green Bay Packers and its cheese, deep beneath the surface of Wisconsin history simmers a cesspool of nightmares that began before the term serial killer had been coined. The horror started when Ed Gein tried desperately to bring back his dead mother by first exhuming bodies, then by killing in order to harvest female body parts that he himself would wear.

My First Tesla Book but Not My Last!
Revisado: 02-16-16
Would you consider the audio edition of The Chemistry of Death to be better than the print version?
I have only heard the audio version but thought it was well done. I have not read the print version.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I liked Joe Tesla even with his "flaws" it makes him a some what vulnerable hero which is a nice change from the indestructible super hero's that grace many books now a days.
What does Jeffrey Kafer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I have listened to quite a few books with Jeffrey Kafer as of late and never get tired of hearing his voice. He does characters quite well and is never garbled or hard to understand.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The ending, I don't know if there were hints in the other Tesla books but I really didn't figure out who the bad guy was tell almost the very end. I will go back and listen to the first two Tesla books because I found this one so enjoyable.

Revisado: 02-16-16
What did you like best about Wormwood Dawn, Episode II? What did you like least?
I liked the fresh approach to an apocalyptic thriller. It had some unique perspective of an addicts take on the apocalypse but there just wasn't much in the main character to like. He wasn't particularly nice, or ruthless, didn't seem repentant or unforgiving. Maybe his character will be fleshed out more in the up coming books but on a stand alone book there just wasn't much here to hold on to. It wasn't a bad listening but it wasn't for me.

Would you consider the audio edition of Wolf Hunt to be better than the print version?
Yes, I think most audio books are better than print.
What other book might you compare Wolf Hunt to and why?
I don't know if I've read one quite like this. But I will keep an eye out for future books by this author as it was very entertaining, even hilarious in some parts.
Which character – as performed by Scott Thomas – was your favorite?
I really liked both George and Lou. The author did a great job of making them realistic and likable guys despite their profession. You find yourself rooting for them.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The scene in the house...that all I will say, don't want to spoil anything.

What made the experience of listening to The Dinosaur Four the most enjoyable?
The interesting characters are part of what made this book so enjoyable. They we're very realistic sample of what you might find in an ordinary coffee shop on any given day. Some were likable, others, you knew you probably wouldn't. There was even one who, in the beginning I liked but.... I don't want to spoil anything.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Dinosaur Four?
Probably there first encounter with the dinosaurs. I could totally see someone acting they way this particular character did and with much the same result.
Have you listened to any of Nick Podehl’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This was my first book by this author.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me laugh at parts, and cringe in others.

One of my favorites
Revisado: 10-04-12
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, I would definitely recommend this audiobook to a friend or anyone who enjoys a good listen.
What did you like best about this story?
I have over 200 audiobooks in my library and this is one of my favorites. It's not very often that I listen to a book over again after I have finished it but this is one of the few exceptions. The main character, Frost, is very likable, and riotously funny, in a way that only British humor can deliver.
What does Stephen Thorne bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Mr. Thorne made detective Frost come to life. His voice was pleasant to listen too and he had a wide range of character voices so you were never confused as to what character was talking.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This book made me laugh out loud more than a few times.
Any additional comments?
After finishing this book I came back looking for more detective Frost books and sadly this is the only one Audible carries but after doing some research I have found that there are a lot more books in the Frost series so PLEASE, please, please audible add more of his books.
