great information, boring presentation

The information was excellent, practical, and wide-ranging in applications. The reading style sounded like AI. It was much like a computer trying to be made to sound human, and failing I might add. Made it difficult to remain focused on what was being read, being somewhat hypnotic to me. I am going to get the book and read it to get all of the information I am sure I missed because my mind wandered due to the sound and patterns of the vocal.

Voice was very staccato, distracting from content all the way through the reading. Content was minimal, no great revelations here. Would be better in my opinion if long reading of scriptures had been read in groups according to their subject rather than mixed al together. Very disappointing.

not worth the time to listen

I thought this would be tongue in cheek. It wasn't, actually referring to people with lesser intellectual capabilities as 'stupid' over and over. People I may refer to that way are those who have the IQ, education, or whatever they need to handle a situation but don't use what they have to act according to what they are equipped with through laziness, selfishness, lack of critical thinking, not taking proper time, not consulting or notifying appropriate people, etc. A very insulting work for those who may not have been able to gain education for various reasons, or do not have the mental capacity someone else might have been blessed with from birth. The end of the book presents some questions to ask yourself and suggestions of actions to take for those who feel they need more mental stimulation, which is good regardless of where you are at now, to keep from being frustrated or feeling odd or lonely, and for challenging yourself to grow. None of these suggestions are earthshatteringly new, but it's nice to have them in one place if you are someone looking for stimulation or growth.

great info, bad voice

Content was excellent, in my opinion. Very practical, no sugar coating what needs to be done. I learned things in this book I have never heard before and I have read hundreds of similar success type books over my lifetime... so far. 😀 The delivery, however, leaves much to be desired - again, in my opinion. The voice sounds artificial, robotic. Even AI generates more natural, realistic voices that are friendly and pleasant to the ear, that make you want to keep listening for longer periods, make it easier to pay attention and to absorb the content. The info was great, the droning, uninspiring, monotonous voice was a real negative for me. That said, I still highly recommend for it's excellent and unique messege.

O have read many,many books, listened to audio books and podcasts, caught TV programs and specials on finances, increasingly as the time to retirement grow shorter over recent years, and this is the best so far at getting you started, making it happen, and keeping you going with advice and easy, no-nonsense actions to take. It is in no way cumbersome, laying out a very clear route to success. As clear and simple to understand as it is, some of the actionable take time and effort; some are one-time and others ongoing.It makes to promises of an easy road but let's you know obstacles, difficult decisions and hard work is likely to succeed, but encourages with clear tried and true methods of persevering through and overcoming these times. I will be listening again and highly recommend to all at the start of their journey, or who are in it and struggling.

Boring for several reasons...

Performance - The voice was something that would be good for lulling you to sleep. I had to rewind and listen again a number of times because my mind wandered. Sounded at times whiney and sometimes like he had a little stuffy nose. Story - The story for me was waaaay too long. It took 2 hours to tell a story that could and should in my opinion have taken maybe 30-40 minutes. I almost stopped to start another book several times. The end was better, once he got away from the story and briefly discussed a 1 chapter sort of bullet point presentation of the main message of the book with a few practical ideas to apply. They were good takeaways to apply, if you can get through the story and 2 hours of the voice to get there. I am glad there were a few good nuggets at the end so the 2 hours wasn't a total waste! You might want to skip through some of the story or speed listen to get to the better part at the end. Now that I've complained about a book that is about not complaining, I will go try to apply its principles!

Sooo happy to find Andrew on Audible!! He is a no-frills, strictly Bible-based teacher. If you're ready to get off of the milk of 'Christianity lite' and chew on some meat, Andrew delivers just that with no holds barred and no apologies! Just the Word, more of the Word, and nothing but the Word delivered in his unique brand of honest Texan style. If you're ready to dive deeper, mature in your Christian walk, and grow closer to God, you've GOT to get into everything Andrew offers! You'll be hooked, and you're life will never be the same!
