Nicole is so easy to listen to. I have loved her podcast for years. She helped me cure myself of chronic headaches, shoulder pain & knee pain. Could not recommend more to anyone who really is looking for a cure for chronic pain.

I’m so sorry to be writing this because this whole point is supposed to be about being compassionate. If you are a person who can’t stand mouth noises though, this is not the book for you. I wanted so badly to be able to listen to this but the lack of professional ability to not smack lips or pause the recording to swallow just was a deal breaking problem. I am so sorry but if it saves anyone else having to return the book. I’m going to try the other book by this author w the professional reader.

Why the director didn’t tell the actress who voices Mina to quit it with the accents I will never understand. Anymore than we could understand what she was saying.

We just started skipping ahead whenever she broke into her various “seaman in Whidby” or Dutch Doctor or whichever. what’s the point of getting all irritated, having to strain and only catching every third word anyway.

It was really cool to hear the original novel that launched a genre. Definitely dated in some respects but obviously revolutionary when it was written.

Also most of the voice actors were great.

Any additional comments?

I hate to bash this book because the author has some insightful and interesting things to say. But wow. He is sexist to the point that it's offensive. Please note that I work in a field where the glass ceiling is heavy and man-splaining is common, so when I make this point, it's not coming from some naive flower.Besides secretaries, there are I think two women in the entire book. Mother Theresa and a vindictive ex-wife.Every time the author tells a story about a pitch (which is a lot, see title of book), he kicks off with, "Gentlemen..." He goes on about the "guys" in the deal, and drops loooong lists of all the men he's hobnobbing with. Not one woman apparently in any of the meetings or on any pitch team anywhere at any company in the fifteen years this dude had done his thing. And this saddens me at a level that exceeds any interest I have in Oren Klaff.
