Acerca de esta escucha

Learn how to free yourself from chronic pain, anxiety, fatigue, and myriad debilitating conditions through the transformative process of nervous system regulation in this accessible guide from psychotherapist and leading Mindbody clinician Nicole Sachs.

At a time when chronic pain and other conditions have reached epidemic proportions, and the medical model is coming up short for so many of us, Mind Your Body shares the evidence-based practices that can help deliver listeners from hopelessness to freedom. Most people who come to Nicole Sachs have exhausted all other paths to cope with their chronic back and bodily pain, IBS, sciatica, pelvic pain, long COVID, migraines, fibromyalgia, nerve inflammation, skin conditions, anxiety and panic disorders, and many more health conditions. Maybe they’re considering surgery or other interventions, with no real promise of a cure, or maybe the surgeries and treatments they’ve already attempted have proved disappointing and they are desperate for relief.

Sachs knows that these kinds of syndromes often don’t originate from a physical source. Rather, they are fueled by trauma responses associated with deeply rooted psychological and emotional triggers that send the brain and the nervous system into fight or flight.

In Mind Your Body, Sachs teaches listeners about Mindbody medicine—which helped her overcome her own debilitating pain and dark prognosis. She explains the essential practice of turning inward, using her revolutionary JournalSpeak method, which has enabled countless people to achieve striking mental, emotional, and physical healing. Mind Your Body takes chronic pain recovery into its next stage, for a new generation of listeners who have been so underserved by our medical system.

Reseñas de la Crítica

“Nicole Sachs deeply understands the connection between trauma, the body, and chronic illness, and her transformative program can help anyone suffering from chronic pain live a better life.” –Arianna Huffington, Founder & CEO, Thrive Global

“While the young mind is filled with potential, it also stores the seedlings of chronic pain. Nicole Sachs is on a mission to help us understand the brain’s power to connect emotional experiences with physical responses, so that pain becomes surmountable. Her deep conviction and crystal clarity are life-changing, literally. This is a must read not just for people managing chronic pain but also for the healthcare providers eager to help them.” —Cara Natterson, MD, bestselling author of The Care and Keeping of You and This Is So Awkward

“This fascinating and empowering book offers a deep dive into how our minds can wreak havoc or weave healing in our lives. Nicole Sachs, from her own lived experience and clinical work, reveals an empowering path to well-being. Filled with detailed accounts of how stressful events shape the pain we experience in our bodies and anxiety in our emotional landscapes, we learn how strengthening mental skills of attention, awareness, and self-compassion can transform our suffering, as we shift from merely surviving to thriving in a new life of freedom and choice.”–Daniel Siegel, MD, author of the NYT bestseller Aware

Nicole is so easy to listen to. I have loved her podcast for years. She helped me cure myself of chronic headaches, shoulder pain & knee pain. Could not recommend more to anyone who really is looking for a cure for chronic pain.

When I first learned about the concepts of mindbody medicine and TMS, I approached them with a healthy skepticism. I did some research and found that there's a ton scientific evidence to support these concepts. But the real proof came when I started doing the work and experiencing the results.

Nicole Sachs is THE expert when it comes to this stuff. There are many good books on this topic, but Mind Your Body is, by far, the single best source of everything you need to know to start healing.

The ideas in this book are beneficial to everyone. This is life changing stuff. This is not "alternative medicine", it's real science-based medicine that urgently needs to be integrated into our Western medical model.

I especially love the audiobook version of Mind Your Body because it is read by Nicole. Her confidence and her desire to help people can be heard in her voice throughout the entire book.

Nicole Sachs, with her absolute conviction, completely salient and convincing stories of recoveries, and knowledge, was the first author of this type who really reached me. I am astounded to say that quickly after beginning to read her book, my pain abated. I was on my feet doing housework for hours today and am not hurting. If I didn’t know better, I’d say this is a miracle. If you had told me a year ago that mind-body work would help me, I’d have thought you were stupidly dismissing my real physical ailments and saying it was all in my head. This is not about it being all in your head. What is in your head can cause the real physical symptoms and signs of your very real disease, though. I wish I could gift this to every person I meet who needs it. I never thought I’d be praising a book about the mind-body solution to so many problems—I was the most skeptical person out there. Therefore, now I am one of the most excited about it, and so happy I had been wrong. The book is well-organized, and the author’s reading is professional, warm, and encouraging. I can’t recommend it enough. If and when I relapse, I will go straight back to the methods outlined by this author, Nicole Sachs. Than you, Nicole!

The first mind-body author who convinced and wow’ed me. I’m feeling relief from osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia.

I found Nicole’s work through the Curable app when I had tried everything to end my lifelong issue with chronic migraine. Told by my neurologist the next option was monthly stomach injections, I doubled my search efforts and found guidance from Curable success stories and expert interviews where I listened to an interview with Nichole Sachs. While pain reprocessing work also had an impact, JournalSpeak and Nicole’s coaching and healing journey stories through her podcast and free content was the main thing that allows me to say I am chronic migraine free. I am still on this journey and get headaches or the occasional migraine, but the chronic debilitating condition I dealt with since I can remember is gone. I still listen to the podcast, read posts in the JournalSpeak community, and do the work. Listening to the book underscored a lot of what I already understand and reminded me of some wisdom I forgot. Thank you, Nicole, for your commitment to this message. You definitely changed my life.

I stumbled across John Sarno's "The Divided Mind" a couple of months ago and thought it was great- it started me on the path of exploring the mind-body connection. Still, I didn't know about Nicole and her work till last week- If Finding Dr Sarno was like finding a buried treasure chest, finding Nicole's "Mind Your Body" is genuinely finding the treasure inside! Excellent performance by the author, who was a patient of and later worked with Dr Sarno. I have just started to do the Journal Speak and am so excited to see where it takes me- it has already proved to be a valuable tool in the last couple of days- and I look forward to doing it daily. Don't hesitate to buy this book, especially if you have been hurting for some time. I am confident it will help you, too!
BTW, if you are looking for other good reads and advice on the subject, I would also enjoy Dan Buglio's "Pain-Free You." If you have been searching for relief, read all the books you can on the subject- knowledge can change your future.

Love this stuff- Love Nicole's approach.
