Historia
Crushes are harmless—unless they involve your best friend’s grumpy, off-limits brother. Gannon Brewer is the epitome of my type. He’s at least ten years older than me, emotionally unavailable, and highly disagreeable—a walking red flag in a tailored suit. But do I listen to that? No. In fact, when his office plants start dying, I convince myself that I can ignore the pheromones and save the philodendron. Now I’m in his office every week, dodging sinful smirks and heated stares, reminding myself to reach for the watering can—not him. But one “ivy incident” changes everything.

When grumpy isn't actually that grumpy!
Revisado: 04-01-25
I enjoyed this grumpy/sunshine audiobook. Both main characters are not looking for long term anything because one was burned by a past girlfriend and the other has daddy issues (rightfully so)!!
What do you do when your male best friend's brother is absolutely gorgeous, and you need a new client to help your sinking new business? You accidently throw your coffee on the hot older brother and shoot your shot. Not only by asking him to hire your business but then suggest sexual favors, if need be! She has no filter, and the words just tumble out of her mouth, when maybe they were inside thoughts. She says all the things most people would love to say but never would.
He has had a thing for her from the moment they met but he would never act on it because she is much younger than him. However, he decides to give her a chance of brining plants in his office back to life and she does more than that. She sparks something in him that he's never felt before and he makes her realize not all men will abandon you and actually do care.

He’s my sister’s ex, a stubborn jerk, and completely off-limits. Getting a man to give up custody of a son he didn’t know existed should have been easy. Trouble is, nothing with JP King is ever easy. Suave, grumpy billionaires aren’t supposed to have strong hands or filthy mouths, and I never expected our snippy banter to be so much fun. JP regards me as something he scraped off the bottom of his dress shoe, but when this reluctant single dad looks at my nephew, there’s a softness there he struggles to keep hidden.

JP and Hazel
Revisado: 01-22-25
This book was so good!! I have loved this series. Each book I finish, I say... "This is now my favorite" and it's true! JP's book I had been waiting for. He's not as cold as people think he is. He's a good person who seems cold and doesn't how his nice/sweet side to. That is until a woman with her nephew shows up in town and claim he's the dad of this little boy whose mom has passed away.
Hazel is just what JP needs in his life to become the much softer man that people need to know. She's a free spirit and a go with a flow kind of person, which he is not! But she brings out sides in him none of us have seen in the other books.
The little boy in this is so sweet... I love that he loves bow ties and is a little bit of a nerd! He's too cute!
There are so many shocking moments in this book!!! Like my jaw dropped open! Lena is the queen of SHOCKING us all in this series! I laughed and cried and also swooned!!
This audio book and I give it all the stars!!! Samantha Brentmoor and Stephen Dexter were fantastic!!

What does one do when they completely blow an interview? If you're me, you pick up a one-night stand with the most gorgeous man you've ever seen.. That's right, after a lousy interview that could have changed everything for me, I headed over to the local small town bar to sulk when the one man I shouldn't want walked in. And when my friend convinced me to take him back to my hotel room, I didn't think about it, I just did it . . . well, I did him.

All the stars for Ryland and Gabby
Revisado: 01-08-25
I've really enjoyed this series but this book has to be my favorite!! This audiobook was soooo good! Sebastian York was the perfect Ryland (who's a bit of a grouch) and Samanta Brentmoor as Gabby & Mac was perfect!! Her little kid narration just melted my heart!!
These two come from a childhood of trauma. Where they had to struggle in different ways but took care of their siblings. We've seen bits of this through the series with Ryland. Gabby and her brother ended up in the foster system and it was Gabby who fought hard to keep a roof over their heads and to get her brother to the BIG SHOW!
I loved how after an amazing one night stand they think they will never see each other again. However, things just keep falling into place that they are part of each others lives. My favorite part was them saying they didn't think they should be friends with benefits, yet these two sure kept falling into situations that had them keep hooking up!
This book made me laugh and cry and laugh some more! If you like spice there's lots of that too! It's probably in my top three of Meghan Quinn books now!

I loved the connection these main characters had from the start. They both have lived through traumatic experiences and when no one else knows the hurt they carry (after some time), they confide in each other and become each other’s support!! I love the little boy in this story. He’s so cute and loves hockey!! He’s very sensitive and has an amazing bond with his mom.
As always Catherine throws some unexpected twists at us but what an amazing ride. The narration was fantastic!! Both narrators have the best kid voices!!

Such a good series!!!
Revisado: 09-26-24
You have Garrett a small town cop who is also a new detective that’s a single dad. Who isn’t looking for a romance of any kind.
Then you have Harper a baker with the worst luck!! She broke a mirror and now thinks she’s been cursed for seven years. However her bad luck curse is almost over.
These two are supposed to go on a date that their aunts set up but Garrett doesn’t make it because of work. Harper thinks it’s because of the curse and just not meant to be. However the first time they meet Garrett’s is basically speechless because he has never seen someone so beautiful!! Sparks fly for both right off the bat.
This book has it all. A cold case to investigate, heart pounding moments, I laughed, I cried and has some spice too!!!
Can’t wait for the next book in the series of these brothers!!!

Weston Belmont. The man is a shameless flirt. He oozes confidence and masculinity in a way that’s downright distracting. And in bed? He’s addictive. Everything with him is wild and impulsive and I’m desperate to regain some control. But no one has supported me like West does. And no one has ever made me feel as loved as he does either. So, while my brain says settling down with a small-town horse trainer is impossible… my heart says I’m right where I belong.

Revisado: 09-03-24
Book 2 was worth the wait, now I can't wait for the next one! haha!! Elsie Silvers writing is so special. She makes you fall in love with her characters. West and Skylar are magic right from the very start. Their meet cute involves a grizzly and it was perfectly hilarious and scary!
Skylar the country singer whose world all of a sudden comes crashing down around her needs an escape from EVERYONE she knows. She runs away to Rosehill and she gets a whole lot more than just trying to write a record with Ford (from book one). She finds people who genuinely care about her for the first time in her life. Who want only good things for her and not just something from her.
West is a horse trainer, single dad who has no plans of settling down. He doesn't want his kids to experience people leaving, so he never dates. Only a guy who does friends with benefits, until his favorite singer comes to town and ends up becoming part of his every day.
I loved the chemistry these two have and how it grows as the story develops. I loved how West treated Skylar like a skittish horse and he needed to be patient with her. I was sad when this book was done but it was perfect!!
Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood did a fantastic job. I laughed and cried while listening. They brought this story to life! All the stars to this trio.... Elsie, Teddy and Savannah!

Historia
That night we were two perfect strangers, the town’s grumpy recluse and a gorgeous girl in the back of a bar. Until we weren’t. Because Nadia Dalca isn’t just some girl. She’s the girl I can’t have. Fourteen years younger than me and completely off-limits. My plan is to stay away, but the universe keeps pushing us together. It’s like some sort of cosmic joke, to give me a taste of something so electric—so real—something that breathed life back into me. Because I can look, but I can’t touch.

Grumpy Griffin and Sassy Nadia
Revisado: 08-14-24
The wait for book four to come to audio was worth it!!
Griffin and Nadia's story had a bit of everything in it for me. You feel the pull these two had towards each other from the very start. Griffin has made many bad mistakes in his past and because of that he's hid away for years now. He lets very few people into his world. He prefers staying up at his place in the mountains. Nadia had a horrible childhood and has still been dealing with lots even today because of it. However, even being so young she's grown up and is older than she seems.
These two have a history that has happened over several years. However, one day they really just can't keep their hands to themselves and that starts all the fun. They both have demons from their pasts they need to deal with before they can get to a place where they can be good for each other.
If you enjoy... enemies to lovers, brothers' best friend, age gap, grumpy MMC, found family, if he wanted to he would moments.... you will love this book and series. I'm so sad it's over.

I came to Cherry Peak to find answers. Ones that could change the entire trajectory of my life forever. The idea of searching for the sister I never knew existed was simple enough, but I should have known better than to expect something with such high stakes to go according to plan. It only took one night of dancing between tables in a small town bar for all of said plans to turn to ash. I wasn’t here to fall into the arms of a man who wears his heart on his sleeve and a grin on his all-too handsome face, yet there’s something about Johnny that keeps tugging me closer.

Reverse Grumpy / Sunshine
Revisado: 08-13-24
This book is reverse grumpy/sunshine. The FMC is the grump and the MMC is the sunshine. No matter how hard Aurora tries not to fall for Johnny, he's just got that special instant charm. He is sooo kind and patient and never pushing her boundaries. I really enjoyed their story and how these two total opposites came together.
I also loved seeing little bits of the past characters from the series.

Loved these two!
Revisado: 08-11-24
I can't decide if I loved book one or this book #2 better! They are both grumpy/sunshine. This one is more of a slow burn. It can be read as a stand alone book BUT WHY would a person do that! I loved both books.
Liam is a professional football player, he's a team player and a leader on the team but he's got BAGGAGE from his childhood that makes him keep his distance from people. Except his best friend and his wife see right through that and love him as he is. So much they make him the god father to their little girl.
Zoe is a romantic who thought she was getting her fairytale wedding to her dream guy. Turns out he was not her happily ever after. She's always wanted a family but now being newly divorced she doesn't see that in her future anytime soon. However, her best friend asks her to be the god mother and she couldn't be happier to be that person.
Liam and Zoe's first interaction was not good ten years ago and they basically hate each other. However when their best friends die, they are left to take care of their god daughter. Liam at first wants nothing to do with them. He NEVER wanted a family and can't understand why he'd ever be chosen for this job. Zoe is heartbroken over the loss of her friends but loves this little girl so much she'd do anything for her.
These two have lots of struggles and push and pull in their relationship raising a child together. However, truths start to come to the surface as well as feelings that have been buried for many years. Liam needs to work through his past traumas to be the man he wants to be for his girls.

You might think it’s reckless for a single mom to enter into a marriage of convenience with her boss . . .You would be correct. To make matters worse, Abel King is a grumpy local brewer with a criminal past. He also happens to be my boss and a total stick-in-the-mud. Every time I come to work with a smile and wave, I’m lucky if I can get a grunt in response.

Able and Sloane
Revisado: 07-16-24
Abel King might be a grump but he has reasons to be. He keeps to himself and kind of hides away from everyone. Yes, he runs a successful brewery in town but stays more in the shadows.
Sloane is a single mom to twins and really good friends with Abel's sister. She convinced him to give Sloane a job. She's gone through some tough challenges of leaving her abusive husband and moving to a small town to live with her grandpa. Unfortunately a fire that almost took her boy ruined their home and it was considered arson. She also has a big feeling about who could of caused it but no proof. She does have a way of getting her family ahead but needs a little help from Abel to make it work.
They come to an agreement of getting married. It will help them both out of situations they can't control. Little do they know many feelings start to develop. His home what was once very quiet, is now alive and fun. However, they still have obstacles to overcome.
If you haven't read the Sullivan Family series, I suggest you do. It's where this family feud starts to be told between the Sullivan's the Kings. Also it's an amazing series. Each book, then flowing into the Kings series gives little details and pieces of the puzzle all start to come together. I can't wait for the next book!!
The narrators were great! This is my second book by Sean Crisden and WOWZA.... He's a new favorite for sure!!
