Great narration, good story, very long world building and character development

The narrator does a great job creating/voicing over a dozen characters (humans and creatures)!
For the length of the this book the ending is unsatisfying. I understand it’s the beginning of a series but a very disconnected cliffhanger lands flatly.

Captivating and realistic

The character development and backstory support the realistic story of relationships in various situations. Love, neglect, adoration, abuse, true friendship, obsession, commitment, trauma, and freedom. It was a roller coaster and merry-go-round wrapped in the pursuit of genuine connection and happiness.

EXCELLENT!!!!

Story, acting, background/atmospheric effects, pace of action, all of it is excellent. Fact based, historical fiction mixed with science and humanity all set in dystopian futuristic time travel. The actors were believable in their portrayal of every character.

Decent YA adventure/fantasy

The AI narration is the only thing I’d complain about. The voice itself is okay, but between the mispronunciation of some words and the lack of character voices was disappointing. An otherwise fun adventure was often watered down to a monotone retelling of a story.

Disappointing overall

I’ve skipped this set a couple of times because of the AI voice “acting”. But I had time and wanted to give the story a chance. It was okay at best, which was partly affected by glitches of skipping or repeating of dialogue and the total lack of character differences from the AI voice. I usually like the sweet, rom-com tone of Cozy stories but the story was trying so hard to be innocent it was boring and bland.
I suggest better editing and pay a real live human to voice the next story.

Not my taste in storyline

I was drawn in by the hint of Peter Pan references and disappointed with the whole “Stockholm Syndrome” aspect of the story. I like the author’s style of writing, yet don’t care for gross manipulation and mental/emotional abuse that Hook ploys on Wendy (the inexperienced virgin). Not my thing.

All the above!! I enjoyed the story and the performance! The author does a great job of describing surroundings and made me feel I was there. Also, though it’s a series, I think each one can stand on its own. I would love to watch a tv series with the story.

Fantasy and adventure with more obvious Christian undertones than the first two books, though not overtly preachy. The epilogue was a nice wrap up of the story.

Unexpectedly both educational and funny!

I enjoyed learning more about women of the medieval period than any average book covers of that era. Practical and anecdotal with a sprinkle of modern wit and introspection.
