the stupid virtual reading
Revisado: 02-01-24
I am so disappointed that so many good books of the type I like to listen to are being read by AI. the voice is flat and makes a lot of obvious mistakes that ruined the flow of the story for me.

why can't she just read the book?
Revisado: 11-12-22
Every time this woman is the reader I think of just not listening. Occasionally I have just stopped and deleted. Almost every sentence sounds like a question.

Historia
Jake Wilkerson, a disillusioned young pastor who is an expert at hiding his fears, takes on a new assignment at a small rural church in Coudersport, Pennsylvania. It's a far piece from anywhere and full of curiously odd and eccentric people, including Emma Grainger, a single woman and a veterinarian who dismisses all Christians as "those people", and Tassy, a young runaway with a secret.

Historia
The Reservoir follows an unexceptional man in an exceptional time. We see our present-day pandemic world and New York City through the eyes of a former Wall Street veteran, Ridley, as he, in his enforced quarantined solitude, looks back upon his life. He examines his wins, his failures, the gnawing questions - his career, his divorce, his estranged daughter - and questions what it all means and who he really was.

if pointless was supposed to be the point, it hit the mark. Hopefully all audible originals aren't going to be so tedious
