His ship, the Mobius, is home to a ragtag crew of misfits and refugees looking to score a big payday but more often just scratching to pay for fuel. The crew consists of his ex-wife (and pilot), a drunkard, four-handed mechanic, a xeno-predator with the disposition of a 120kg housecat, and the galaxy's most-wanted wizard.

Okay story
Revisado: 04-21-18
Any additional comments?
So far I've gone through 20 hours of this audiobook. I hate to disagree with other reviewers, but, this is not "like" Firefly. The ONLY thing it has in common with Firefly is: it's one ship with a bunch of misfit crew stuck together. That's IT. The story is okay, and I always enjoy listening to Mikael Naramore. If you can get past the one sanctimonious religiosity bulls*** character it's... okay.

After eight desperate months of searching, Cal Harper and his crew still haven't discovered Kaia's whereabouts. Taken by pirates during the rescue of Federation survivors, her fate remains uncertain. But so too is the fate of humanity itself. With the destruction of Earth, the Insidions have struck a devastating blow only to sink back into the shadows to let the poison spread. Book #2 in the series
Revisado: 02-24-18
What made the experience of listening to Shattered Moon the most enjoyable?
Alex Wyndam's excellent narration.
If you’ve listened to books by J.G. Cressey before, how does this one compare?
I absolutely loved book #1 Star Splinter. I enjoyed listening to this audiobook (Shattered Moon). However, everything in this book seems a bit contrived. The characters are always getting into extremely "hopeless and impossible" situations, and then at the "final" second are magically getting out of the situations. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy listening to the story, and will definitely get the next audiobook in the series.
What does Alex Wyndham bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I can listen to his voice in narrations and characterizations forever. He does such a good job in flushing out each characters voice you can form a picture in your mind on how they look and act.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
I really can't see this book being made into a movie without it being completely destroyed. Now, if they made a completely CGI movie with voice-overs, that might work. But with live actors playing against green/blue screens...not so much.
Any additional comments?
Can't wait for the next installment!!

Ruined by the music
Revisado: 06-07-16
What would have made Battlefield Earth better?
I was so looking forward to this unabridged version of Battlefield Earth, having read the book back in the early 80's. I have the abridged version, and there are differences. This audiobook would have, by me, rated higher in overall performance if they would not had put that lame music after EVERY chapter. (No wonder it's 47 hours long). Also, the background music that continues playing during the narration is not only unnecessary, but very distracting, sometimes it overwhelms the narrator to the point you don't understand what was said.

Historia
Lieutenant Callum Harper hadn't intended on punching his commanding officer quite so hard. But maybe it wasn't such a bad turn of events. Court-martialed and dumped on a reject raft bound for Earth, Cal feels optimistic about a life where getting blown up, shot, or even eaten is altogether less of a concern. And, more importantly, a life where the only person he's responsible for is himself.

Revisado: 04-21-16
Would you listen to Star Splinter again? Why?
Absolutely! The story is entertaining, and keeps your interest.
Have you listened to any of Alex Wyndham’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This is the first time I have listened to Mr. Wyndham, and I must say he was a very wide range of character voices.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes very much so, even played it right again after it finished.
Any additional comments?
I hope there are more books in this series coming soon, especially if Mr. Wyndham is narrating!!

Must be looking inside my fantasies.
Revisado: 04-21-16
If you could sum up Omega Rising in three words, what would they be?
Entertaining, Engaging, Wonderful.
What other book might you compare Omega Rising to and why?
Not so much another book, but rather a dash of Farscape, a pinch of Firefly, a smattering of Star Trek, a hint of Dark Matter, and a inkling of Stargate SG1 (without the stargate of course.) If you liked any of these TV shows you will enjoy this series.
What about Paul Heitsch’s performance did you like?
An excellent narrator. The only criticism was in this first book his pronunciation of "Nacelle" (Na-cell). I cringed every time he said what sounded like "Nasel". However, he did correct the pronunciation in later books.
Any additional comments?
I'm very picky about what I like to listen to. If the title doesn't move me, the cover art looks lame or the preview sample sounds boring I won't even bother putting it in my wishlist. I read the reviews on this first book, and decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did! I bought this first book and after listening to it quickly purchased the next three, and two days later purchased the last three. When I first started listening to Audio books my favorite series was Undying Mercenaries by B. V. Larson, narrated by Mark Boyett. The Omega Force series is now my favorite!!

Historia
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

John Carter
Revisado: 10-15-14
Would you consider the audio edition of John Carter in 'A Princess of Mars' to be better than the print version?
I read the paper back version of "A princess of Mars" more than 30 years ago. It was one of the first books I actually completed from cover to cover. However, back then I was more of a romantic, but the story kind of dragged on. At least the audiobook all I had to do was listen. Think I liked the latest movie version better.

Have Space Suit will get boored
Revisado: 10-15-14
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
No, unless they like very long out dated stories
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Updated the characters to modern times, had the two main characters a similar in age to keep an underlying romantic story line rather than a "brother/sister" feel.
Was Have Space Suit - Will Travel worth the listening time?
It was okay, I'll probably listen to it again, just because it's loaded in my CD jukebox player with other CD audiobooks.
Any additional comments?
Sounds like it was written in the 40's with the author projecting the same social values of that time in the future. What was it...a nickel for an ice cream float from a "soda jerk".
