Lieutenant Callum Harper hadn't intended on punching his commanding officer quite so hard. But maybe it wasn't such a bad turn of events. Court-martialed and dumped on a reject raft bound for Earth, Cal feels optimistic about a life where getting blown up, shot, or even eaten is altogether less of a concern. And, more importantly, a life where the only person he's responsible for is himself.

Unfortunately fate doesn't favor the mundane. Crash-landing on a lethal planet, and with technology failing all around him, Cal must take his fellow passengers under his wing in order to survive and unravel the reasons behind their situation. But the cause is far worse than any of them could have imagined, for theirs is a small part of a much larger crisis. Colonized space is under attack. Humanity is on the verge of chaos. And those who enjoy such anarchy are already beginning to thrive. Yet Cal and his new companions will discover that mankind isn't the true threat, not by a long shot.

Where does Star Splinter rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It's up there. Star Splinter has the simplicity of a Heinlein book which is great because many sci fi authors tend to over do it of late.

What does Alex Wyndham bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Great narration really let's my imagination relax and the world of Cresseu is created around me.

Did not cry. Laughed several times, if was a breath of fresh air in sci fi

Everything you want in a good book; characters you care about, good story line, humor, action, adventure, new worlds, interesting tech and more. This is a book I will listen to more than once. Looking forward to book 2.

This is for the author, this book is amazing! I never leave reviews, but this book stands out, great story, great narrator.

Absolutely loved this story & the narrator was fabulous. I’ve even added Alex Wyndham to my list of top Narrators. I even have a hard time not listening during Thanksgiving dinner and I’m looking forward to listening to the next book in the series.

Cal is a great main character. He finds himself booted out of the military and considering a life without responsibility for others, but of course, the universe has other plans for him. I love strong male figures with a heart, And the story really delivers. Along with his other military rejects, A badass Young military private female who relishes fighting, a tech guru and his synthetic human wife, and a reality game show star & surfer dude, and an old friend who is a big game hunter, they out wit a greedy casino owner and steal his fastest ship. They then begin their journey to rescue a planet full of enslaved military personnel. What else could you want in the military sci-fi drama!

A young student recommended this book to me and I loved it. I have recommended it to several kids and adults and they have all enjoyed the adventures of the crew of the Star Splinter. Just one question, when is the next book in the series coming out. I would so love to see what happens after Shattered Moon.

What made the experience of listening to Star Splinter the most enjoyable?

This was full of action from the start. . the whole time It kept me engaged. The characters were very likable. Eddy made me smile a lot.

What did you like best about this story?

I like how there is humor sprinkled threw out. It helped me get into the story.

What about Alex Wyndham’s performance did you like?

Alex did a great job.

Over all this was an awesome story. I enjoyed it very much. I will listen to this story again. This is a great first story of the series. Like an action movie in your head. check it out. well worth your time.
