The awful AI narrator
Revisado: 12-09-24
Story had promise but at times hard to follow and at other times, extremely boring. What turned me off the most though out of everything as this was the first book in the series so I don’t really consider it awful, The AI narration has got to go. There was so many long pauses that I almost thought the recording stopped, a lot of clicking noises in the background, and no change in vocal pitch. Everything sounded the same regardless if it was a tense situation or a normal conversation. My suggestion would be to skip this book just for the simple AI narration.

It may not be definitive proof, but it's a ray of light in the darkness.

The description
Revisado: 11-20-24
I lived in Casper Wyoming for 13 years. That literally is the best and absolute truest description of that city I’ve ever heard in my life. He’s definitely got that area down pat as far as his descriptions go with the wind and everything including the big western store downtown all his other books are great to.

Way too inundated with religious beliefs
Revisado: 10-15-24
Absolutely, great story first of all. Way too much religious propaganda for my liking. This is why I rated it the way I did. Without all the religion stuff which did not add much substance to the story I would have rated it a lot higher it’s just too much religion. I could’ve dealt with a little bit of religion, but it just got too much.

What’s up with the narrator?
Revisado: 10-07-24
Great work, except for the narrator was switching to some weird voice some random time and I don’t understand why

Lack of research
Revisado: 05-28-24
Cadaver dogs don’t get trained by people who have full bodies in their freezers. There is a multitude of training aids available including bodies under specific circumstances but not by a trainer who horde bodies in either fridge or freezer in their garage. Finger nails, teeth, hair, used female care products and cadaver scent samples both real and pseudo scent training aids among other things are common practice but not bodies in a garage.

I felt like I was in a lecture hall.
Revisado: 02-23-24
I don’t really write reviews often so this is a special occasion. The narrator was very Bueller, Bueller. I’m not sure if I didn’t like it because of that or both because of that and the story dragged on and on. Watched the first two episodes of the series on T.V. And thought it was a great show not that you really could tell anything in two shows. I’m really disappointed that I thought the books would be amazing and that they turned out to be absolutely subpar. Don’t waste a credit I wish I wouldn’t have.

This book hits home literally.
Revisado: 12-14-22
First and foremost. I work for a non-profit that does this for families all over the U.S.. We, like the authors protagonist do this 100% free to the families regardless of financial status, or any other status. aside from that I also am from the area that is talked about in this book. ( Lander WY). I have zero idea where this Author has got her information but aside from a few small details ( people carrying MRE's which we would absolutely never do, way, way to heavy and expensive. hard to do when we pay for everything, we use a lot of aluminum packaged meat ( tuna, chicken, salmon and $1.25 knorr sides, cheap soups and unless lactose intolerant lots and lots of cheese) her description of searching is completely spot on. This book is (so far) really well written!!! I'm very impressed with the research/ knowledge this author has including the way they put on there quadrant search. that is exactly how we do it!. Her description of why the character got into this is absolutely spot on also. The reader also is impressive on the pronunciation of the wilderness area. THANK YOU FOR BRINGING AWARENESS TO THOSE OF US THAT REALLY DO THIS. WE DON'T DO THIS FOR THE MONEY OR THE GLORY AND YOU COULDN'T HAVE STATED IT BETTER ON WHY WE DO DO THIS.
