Historia
Years before the name Alex Murdaugh was splashed across every major media outlet in America, local South Carolina journalist Mandy Matney had an instinct that something wasn’t right in the Lowcountry. The powerful Murdaugh dynasty had dominated rural South Carolina for generations. No one dared to cross them.

Loved this. Mandy and Liz are not just podcasters. They are investigative journalists first and foremost. Without them there would be no justice for Steven or the Murdaugh victims. We need to support our local journalists. Journalism is not just for men. Women play a big role in delivering news stories and uncovering coverups and corruption.

Historia
Labeled a silent epidemic by a growing number of therapists and researchers, estrangement is one of the most disorienting and painful experiences of a parent's life. Popular opinion typically tells a one-sided story of parents who got what they deserved or overly entitled adult children who wrongly blame their parents. However, the reasons for estrangement are far more complex and varied.

Revisado: 11-21-22
Maggie shows she is a journalist who obviously thoroughly researched deeply into Trumps mind and actions and those around him. How did this man get elected to the highest position in the United States. We cannot let this happen again. It is going to take years to undue the harm he has caused. Thanks to great journalists like Maggie and prosecutors we are uncovering the most corrupt republican government we have ever had.

Great insight into what happens when you make one mistake. A reminder that fun can lead to unintended consequences. It would be nice if everyone had a friend like Theodore Boone. I hope there are more books in this series in the future. I wish I could have read these books in my youth. If I only knew what I know now in my youth! Wonderful book.

OMG! This book is great!
Revisado: 03-29-21
This is not a time travel book. This book teaches you that everything you do today has consequences tomorrow and the future. And just because today has challenges don’t give up because it will make your future better. After the year we have had with corona virus I know the future will be better. That I will learn from this year. This is not a coronavirus book. This is not a time travel book. This book shows you the adventures you will have. I loved this book. I felt for Oona. You know the saying. “I wish I knew back then what I know today”. This book puts it in perspective. Highly recommend this book.

Historia
In American Oligarchs, award-winning investigative journalist Andrea Bernstein creates a vivid portrait of two emblematic American families. Their journey to the White House is a story of survival and loss, crime and betrayal, which stretches from the Gilded Age through Nazi-occupied Poland to the rising nationalism and inequality of the 21st century. Drawing on hundreds of interviews and over 100,000 pages of documents, many previously unseen or long forgotten, Bernstein traces how the families grew rich on federal programs that bolstered the middle class.

Truth
Revisado: 02-09-20
So much detail. So much care went into this book to tell the truth. The Trumps and Kushners are pure evil. Our founding fathers warned us about people like this. They tried to prevent them with a well thought out constitution. America is supposed to be the home of the free. But this administration is trying to turn us into a communist country. This is why we need truthful elections. I hope and pray enough people read this book and take it to heart. Hopefully we can still vote and have our votes counted in the upcoming election. This is scary. Great book. Great insight. A must read. Should be read in high school so our future generations know how close we came to losing our freedom.

Decades later, no one has been charged with the murder, but the aggrieved inhabitants of West Cork are convinced they know who did it - and he still lives among them.

Could not stop listenening. Sheds light on what happens to families when a murder is unsolved. Makes you mad at the botched investigation. Then realize how could I possibly think a small town without immediate resources solve this.

Historia
Colin Quinn has noticed a trend during his decades on the road - that Americans' increasing political correctness and sensitivity have forced us to tiptoe around the subjects of race and ethnicity altogether. Colin wants to know: What are we all so afraid of? Every ethnic group has differences, everyone brings something different to the table, and this diversity should be celebrated, not denied. So why has acknowledging these cultural differences become so taboo?
