Historia
Ever since I met my handsome husband Dr Gabe Bonneville, I started playing the role of the perfect housewife. He works hard as a surgeon, so I look after our home, and throw elaborate dinner parties with champagne cocktails for his best friends Hugh and Anita. He’s my safe place and my chance to have the family I’ve always wanted. I’ve managed to hide the mornings when I wake up and see a face in the shadows. I haven’t told Gabe the truth about the woman who raised me, or told him about the therapy I’ve been getting so my secrets stay hidden in the dark.

Hard to listen to
Revisado: 02-14-24
The artificial voice was hard to listen to. Monotonous, slightly scratchy, and a bit too deep, it left me uninterested and realizing I'd tuned out the story. The story is interesting but gets repetitive in places.

All the Stars from Me

This one gets all the stars from me. Well written and reimagined, strong points of view (a challenge in writing) from the female roles, and extremely well narrated. It drew me in and made me care about the women and their lives. Well done.

It was hard to listen to the monotonous tone of the narrator even thoughIenjoued the stories. I found myself not knowing what was happening because I'd drifted away from the voice. The book would have been a much better match for me.

I didn't know I needed to read this story. I am the daughter, granddaughter, great granddaughter, sister, and niece of veterans who served in wars. I've learned more about what they might have experienced than they ever spoke about. The story is brilliantly written and narrated.
