Well, the narrator is excellent. She does a fantastic job with female & male voices. I’m about 3/5’s of the way through this book and I’m done. The author is doing to her book, what poor film makers do to bad movies…taking God’s name in vain w/ unnecessary GD’s & JC’s, adding unnecessary cuss words into a character’s response and writing entirely unnecessary conversations about sexual deviance. If you don’t care how this impacts the quality of the story, which could be GREAT, then this series is for you. I made it through the first two books but, I’m done now. All these “cheap” tricks add NOTHING to the story.
This author has the potential to be great. What a shame.

I loved this Series until now…

Excellent job by narrator.
I’m not sure what happened to our writer. Did she get told by her editor, “use The Lord’s name in vain, at least twice & write a lot about deviant sex or lose your contract w/ us!”. SO SAD to see another writer cow-tow to the world’s need to shock & profane. I have LOVED all her books until this one. I only stuck with it bc of that. This book could have easily been skipped. If her next book continues in this disappointing vein, I will not listen to it or any more of this Series. I have never understood the need for modern writers to muddy their incredible skill. Sad.
