exciting play, so much more than a book

I chose this "book" as one of the free monthly items. I quickly devoured it. I loved the format and the structure of the story and how it was told. The content itself started off a little slow and was building all the while.
By the end, I wanted it to go on. The readers/actors don't need to be seen for the listener to know what is happening. To me, this harkens back to the days of old-time radio shows.
I HIGHLY recommend everyone spending the less than two hours of your day to be taken away by this enthralling story.

interesting story, well told

I knew of the TV series but didn't watch it. I am glad I didn't, as I was able to enjoy the story more by not knowing what may happen. Now I can hunt down the series. Plausible story how we are messing up the planet without realizing our impact. I would recommend this book.

great behind the scenes, so-so editing

I thoroughly enjoyed the content of this book, and learning more about her life. Throughout the book I would check out movies and radio shows to acquaint myself with what was revealed. Go find the radio broadcast of Sorry Wrong Number, then the Twilight Zone episode The Invaders, both on YouTube. While the presenter was engaging and enjoyable, there were mistakes. I am sure it happens all the time, and that is fine. However, rather than editing them out, one can hear a director's voice and some sentences or phrases repeated. I don't blame this on the reader but the editor, or lack thereof. Overall, a very enjoyable book which I would recommend.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was informative and well laid out, explaining how we function as a political system and make the group decisions that we do. I recommend it for anyone with even a cursory interest in politics or social behavior.

What made the experience of listening to Great American Music: Broadway Musicals the most enjoyable?
The history and detail made it most enjoyable, especially on long trips. Comprehensive back story greatly added to the recording.

Historical details were excellent and brought the stories to relevance.
Have you listened to any of Professor Bill Messenger’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
this was my first recording, and I would enjoy others by him.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
The history of theatre ended too soon, in the 70s. Even then, the "history" was sparse. I would have enjoyed bringing his high level of detail to the present day composers and how they relate to the older.
