Very little clear guidance a waste of time I would not honestly bother with this as it's low on specifics

Historia
What good are the arts? Why should we care about the past? For millennia, humanity has sought to understand and transmit to future generations not just the "know-how" of life, but the "know-why"—the meaning and purpose of our existence, as expressed in art, architecture, religion, and philosophy. This crucial passing down of knowledge has required the radical integration of insights from the past and from other cultures. In Culture, acclaimed author, professor, and public intellectual Martin Puchner takes us on a breakneck tour through pivotal moments in world history.

Historia
Chris Bathum was a respected therapist, addiction specialist, and founder of one of the fastest-growing rehabilitation chains in America. But Bathum was a total fraud: he was a homicidal meth-head with a history of sexually abusing his patients, scamming insurance companies, and eliminating whistle-blowers. Like Rose Stahl. But this intended victim would be his last. Stahl would risk her life to bring down the monster she and so many other people in need had once trusted for their salvation.

Compelling story an almost comically bad narrator
Revisado: 08-04-21
I actually worked at this place and so I knew a lot of the story going in. The narrator opted for a cheesy Marilyn Monroe breathy voice for the whistle blower, his stylistic choices were so grating that I almost abandoned it after the first chapter, I had to work hard to get past how annoying that was which was such a shame as it is a crazy story. Heart breaking and all true.
