Historia
Dalinar Kholin challenged the evil god Odium to a contest of champions with the future of Roshar on the line. The Knights Radiant have only ten days to prepare—and the sudden ascension of the crafty and ruthless Taravangian to take Odium’s place has thrown everything into disarray. Desperate fighting continues simultaneously worldwide—Adolin in Azir, Sigzil and Venli at the Shattered Plains, and Jasnah in Thaylenah. The former assassin, Szeth, must cleanse his homeland of Shinovar from the dark influence of the Unmade.

I'm a Therapist!
Revisado: 03-14-25
love the emphasis on mental health.
The books speak for themselves, and are probably some of the best I have ever read. The characters, the story, the world building, the magic system... It's just all peak.
If I was to critic something it's the entire storyline with the Ghostbloods, basically any chapter about it or those characters just feels like pumping the breaks on the story and it doesn't lead anywhere. Going forward I am fully willing to ignore that any of it ever existed.
Shallan and Jasnah are well written characters but are both sadly just boring to read about.
But that is not picking.

Feels like a drawn out prologue.
Revisado: 01-16-25
It's James S. A. Corey, so if you like their books then this has all the ingredients.
For me, this felt like a drawn out prologue. It has its moments but something is missing, maybe a bit of tempo, maybe something else. If you want something slower, then this might be for you.

There's a problem with the books.
Revisado: 07-31-24
There's a huge problem with this series, and it's that the books are way to short so you basically take a short hit and then its back to waiting.
Other than that they are basically perfect.

Lovely tempo
Revisado: 11-18-23
I really enjoyed this book. It started off in a interestingly slow tempo. I would call it enjoyably slow or perfectly paced. Then it kicks off and gets enjoyably weird.
Highly recommend.

Lacking.
Revisado: 05-08-22
I usually love B. V. Larsson's stuff, but this is lacking. The narrator does a good job but the rest is just bland.
It's not bad, but it's definitely not good.
The starting point does have promise, but it just landed flat, so I abandoned this book after a few hours.

Revisado: 02-09-22
It's book nine, I wouldn't recommend STARTING with book nine in any series. So if you read the others you know what you're in for. If you didn't, it's got some lovely and funny filth, so go back and start with book one.
Have a great day!

Historia
This is a collection of the eighth six short stories in the Caverns & Creatures series. It includes the following titles: This Poo Shall Pass, Hung Ogre, Fortune Favors the Kobold, Asses to Asses, Love on the Rocs, and The Winds of Cooper. If you've already purchased all of these books, there is nothing new for you here. If you haven't yet purchased any, you can save a few bucks by buying this collection. If you've only purchased some of these already, you'll have to do some math.

Historia
On his last combat deployment, Lt. Cmdr. James Reece's entire team was killed in an ambush that also claimed the lives of the aircrew sent in to rescue them. But when those dearest to him are murdered on the day of his homecoming, Reece discovers that this was not an act of war by a foreign enemy but a conspiracy that runs to the highest levels of government. Now, with no family and free from the military's command structure, Reece applies the lessons that he's learned in over a decade of constant warfare toward revenge.

Fun but a bit weirdly political.
Revisado: 04-22-21
Fun story but the demonization of anything liberal gets tedious. As a non-american reading, all that just bogs down the story without really adding anything. It probably gets American readers blood pumping but for anyone else, that probably falls flat.
Very detailed in description about equipment, guns etc, so that should be a plus if you want to read this book.
