This series is suffering from each book having a different narrator. The narrator for this book sounds like Wil Wheaton with a sinus infection and apathetic view on life.

The book also felt short, with an abrupt non ending.

As others have mentioned I was surprised when the epilogue started. The book is very short and the story just feels like the start of an idea that just ends after getting the base setup. Took awhile to get use to a new narrator, but after a bit he was great.

All of these books are great! This book stands out as the best but you really need to read the books in series to fully understand them. The characters are well developed and the plot deepens as you read. Everything one could ask for in a great series. I can not wait for the next book!

There's a huge problem with this series, and it's that the books are way to short so you basically take a short hit and then its back to waiting.
Other than that they are basically perfect.

Great story, love this book series and author but I found myself questioning whether this audio book used an AI as the narrator.

Yes, it's just the Weimar republic set in outer space, but it's very well written and the story really captures you. The change of narrator is however highly irritating, just stop that and bring back Scott Aielo

Even for a book that’s one entry in a larger book series, this is a very short book. It feels like it ends before it even really gets going. I was shocked when the epilogue started. I had to check to make sure I hadn’t accidentally skipped half the book.

The narrator took a bit to get used to this time around. This is the fourth book and the fourth narrator has probably given me a bit of whiplash. The narration was ok, but not amazing. This book just felt underwhelming. Part of that might be that the three previous books were all released roughly 1 year apart and this one had more time to build anticipation. It's the shortest book in the series by five minutes, but feels like 5 hours, It just doesn't feel like much happened. The book ended and it felt like I was only 3 hours in. I was afraid I might have accidentally slept through part of the book, so I listened to it again, just to be sure and it still didn't feel like 9 hours of content happened. Several parts just make no sense and things that happened in the last few books seems to have no impact on this storyline.
