Historia
In 1999 in the Los Rios region of southern Chile, orthopedic surgeon, devoted wife, and loving mother Dr. Mary Neal drowned in a kayak accident. While cascading down a waterfall, her kayak became pinned at the bottom and she was immediately and completely submerged. Despite the rescue efforts of her companions, Mary was underwater for too long, and as a result, died. To Heaven and Back is Mary’s remarkable story of her life’s spiritual journey and what happened as she moved from life to death to eternal life, and back again.

What I love about the author is she seems to be of a very pure heart, not trying to deceive anyone, just telling her true story, which is phenomenal!

Shari Franke’s childhood was a constant battle for survival. Her mother, Ruby Franke, enforced a severe moral code while maintaining a façade of a picture-perfect family for their wildly popular YouTube channel 8 Passengers, which documented the day-to-day life of raising six children for a staggering 2.5 million subscribers. But a darker truth lurked beneath the surface—Ruby’s wholesome online persona masked a more tyrannical parenting style than anyone could have imagined.

In this compelling and gripping book, Preston tells the story of how God chased him. The streets of Chicago were his home, and it was there that he encountered all sorts of people who had their own versions of the truth―from Jehovah Witnesses to Mormons to Hebrew Israelites. That is where Preston discovered not only the importance of the truth but how to tell the truth in a way that speaks to someone’s heart. Sharing our faith is not about winning arguments; it’s about winning hearts.

Revisado: 05-26-24
Preston Perry is a beautiful soul and it is unfortunate that he had someone else read his book for him, the essence of who he is was lost in that way. The gentleman who read his book did great, and was a professional artist but it made it more of a standard audible book rather than a fantastic authentic book. I was so looking forward to getting this book and pre-ordered, and now that I have it, I found it hard to listen to another read it, which that made it lose it's authenticity........and made it somewhat boring, and we know Preston Perry is anything but boring, but another reading his book made it that way. Other than that the book gave great teaching and advice, and I loved the way some parts were poetic. Yes, Preston Perry wrote a great book that was read by a professional other. I just hope the next one he writes he actually reads it himself. He's beautiful, and in this book I missed feeling the pure essence using his own voice, which is blessed and anointed. Blessings!

The shocking tale told in How I Helped O. J. Get Away with Murder is unlike anything you've read before. It isn't Mike Gilbert's "version" of what happened'; it's the unvarnished truth - the truth about O. J., the murders, and the infamous trial, not as Gilbert imagined or would like it to be, but how it actually was.

Historia
Mike Pence spent more hours in the Oval Office than any of his predecessors. On the surface, the affable evangelical Christian from a gas-station-owning family in Indiana wouldn’t seem to have much in common with a brash real estate mogul from New York. But the unlikely duo formed a tight bond. So Help Me God is the chronicle of the events and people who forged Mike Pence’s character. This is the inside story of the Trump administration by its second highest official—what he said to the president and how he was tested.

Revisado: 01-19-23
I I love the way he is unashamed to lift God up and give him glory, I love the way he mentions scriptures all throughout the book and I love his sincerity. however, I was surprised to find out how much he aligned with Trump's value system and style of presidency since Trump is always so controversial. The book made me wonder if he became president would I vote for him or not because I noticed he talked a lot about what they did to help black people, but he didn't talk a lot about the wrong that has happened to black people, and with the George Floyd situation he did not talk much about the cop that killed him outright in public. I am hoping that it's not because he is for right Supremacy. However he did Express a lot of things that I agree with throughout the book, and I especially love the way he was very honest in the end about Trump, how he was a man of integrity and stood for what was right even in the face of bullying. aside from all of this, I must say the book kept my attention the entire time and I learned so much from the scriptures he would used and from his childhood and the lessons he learned, it actually taught me a lot of things about the Bible and life.

This illuminating guide brings a unique and eye-opening perspective to the evasive concept of balance. Transcending familiar theories of work-life balance, Roberts teaches that balance is a state of existence, a becoming that, when realized, not only brings forth the highest version of an individual but optimizes their life's output, productivity, relational value, and overall achievement.

Disappointed
Revisado: 07-12-22
Honestly, I really love pastor Toure and his wife Sarah and enjoy their ministry on You-Tube, but if I'm being honest, I did not enjoy this book so much and will be returning it. Instead of him using night-time to represent something negative concerning Earth's balance, which he did ALOT, I wish he would have used the way the Lord has orchestrated earth so perfectly, along with having a night-time for a great example of balance. Instead, he used the example of night-time on earth to represent something bad. I get it was just a metaphor and he is just trying to make a point about the noise of life and the darkness of night representing that, but it just didn't register with me for some reason. How beautiful this book would have been if he would have took the way the Earth is so perfectly orchestrated to represent balance and how we should take note of that to align our lives in the same way the Lord has aligned Earth, including the daytime AND the NIGHT-TIME, and how we use the daytime for certain things, and how beautiful the night time is because that is where we get rest for our bodies and mind and get rejuvenated for the next day. So the metaphor of night-time in regards to balance being something bad was hard for me to capture.
Also the book felt kind of all over the place, it was hard for me to follow one train of thought because each thought lead to a whole new dimension of thought which changed the original thought from speaking about balance to speaking about self- love and how to take care of yourself, which is not bad but I wanted a book on balance, not self love, there's already plenty of books out there like that. The book probably should have been titled "How to be restored and live your best life," because the book felt more like a self-help book about that rather than speaking to balance. The word balance was mentioned all throughout the entire book as to appear it was sticking to the subject, but the examples threw me off because they were just about the regular old lessons of life.
Last, the pastor made a statement in the book that it is not a religious book. That threw me off balance a little ( no pun intended) because how are you a pastor writing about a book about balance without it being religious, without You adding Christ to the recipe? I noticed most of the time when my life is out of balance and/or out of order, it is because I did not put Christ first. There is no true authentic balance without Christ, He is our balance in this off centered world..... and to keep balance we are to keep Christ as the center of our lives, and we are to keep Christ first..... without seeking first the kingdom of God, all the rest, including balance, will not be added to us.
Still, regardless of any flaws in the content, kudos to pastor Toure for his good intentions, I'm sure, and for wanting to write something positive and helpful to try to make our lives easier, and for that reason, I Almost passed on writing this review, not wanting to be un-edifying to him and his family, but then again, as a Christian I choose to live my life in truth. unfortunately, most of the time that will probably mean not being a people pleaser.

Do you think your father might be toxic? Many people do and sadly there is very little information available to be found online or in the written research, or with counsellors and therapists that can help. Narcissistic Victim Syndrome is not officially recognised, nor is it widely even known. Even when it is accepted, recognised, and known not many people seem to know what to do about it to heal it. This audioook is for you if you have been in a toxic relationship with your parent and you just want to make sense of it and make some changes.

I almost did not buy this audible book because of some of the negative reviews but I am so glad I followed my instinct and still ordered the book because it is one of the most amazing book on narcissist that I have ever read, and I have read plenty!!! me living with the narcissist a wife and my son having a narcissist father when I tell you that every single thing the author said is true I know it cuz I lived it. Ordering this audible book was the best thing I ever did and her healing suggestions were right on point. this is exactly what I have done for myself and now I am having my son to read the book and do it as well. AMAZING job to the author, I appreciate you more than you will ever know for writing this book.... I don't know you, have never met you, or ever
heard of you, but thank you thank you thank you!!!!

Great Book
Revisado: 06-08-22
I really loved learning about myself as an empath. The author has a really good handle about what it means to be an empath, your emotions, people you should or should not hang out with, the food you should eat and so on and so forth. I really loved the book and it confirmed a lot as far as things I knew intuitively but not educational wise. However, as a Christian, it was a little hard to get through all her talking about meditation, and crystals, and yoga, and all of this new age stuff. I look to the Lord for my strength and guidance, I do not need a crystal to bring positive energy in my life and to drive out negative energy.....I look to the Lord to do that and she should too. Otherwise, besides all of the new age talk, I found the book to be very helpful and I am very happy I purchased it!
