By now y'all know that best friend's sibling/sibling's best friend books are my kryptonite and Kendall Ryan does such a great job with them! Add to that the whole escort angle and this was just a fun, HAWT time from beginning to end. Case and Sienna are so stinking adorable together (just like the cover) and whenever they were on the page together it just sizzled. The Hookup Handbook is the perfect quick and breezy pick-me-up I needed and one I'll definitely be reading again! It's another great example as to why Kendall Ryan is one of the author's whose books I automatically preorder, blurb unread! 3 out of 5 wine glasses.

This was cute - I liked Nic and Elle and while the chemistry between them was conveyed decently, I didn't quite buy the insta-lovey-ness of their situation. I think perhaps given the plot, there was not enough angst involved. I expected quite a bit more drama in regards to Elle finding out Nic's profession (not to shame him or sex work, but just realistically) and it just wasn't there and the situation resolved itself really quickly. Other than that, it was a quick, fun, and sexy read. 3 out of 5 wine glasses.

I thoroughly enjoyed Felicity and Gabriel's story and even though this HEA has been building up since the beginning of series, I think this book moved a bit too quickly and could have used a little more development and I'll never complain about a Kerrigan Byrne book being too long, so I would've liked 50-100 pages more. However, since I was curious as to how the series would continue since all of the sisters have found their HEA's, I'm super stoked at how the author worked that out and can't wait to read the following books!

Loved this one too - though I had to go down half a star because why did they wait until the last minute to pull out that letter! Seems to me a whole lot of hurt could've been avoided with that - but I guess then the story wouldn't have been so good. Now I get to dive in to Zep and Roxie's story!!!

I loved this so hard and I’m agonizing over the fact that I don’t get to go back to Papillon until July! Zep was MY FAVORITE! So sweet and loving and self-sacrificing … he’s my fave male protagonist in a while. I love this series and Bayou Dreaming is the best book in a series that just keeps getting better and better. 5 out of 5 wine glasses

So... there are a lot of shenanigans going on here. On the plus side, they not drawn out for very long so that made them a bit more fun. I still can't stand Julia. Like she's a brat of the highest order and though this was all sort of light and frivolous, she's a villain and I'm not gonna change my mind about that - so I really hope the next book isn't about her... Or Cassie because he was kind of insufferable too. That being said, this was a fun, quick read and I'm interested to see how it goes with the movie and to continue with the series. 3.75 out of 5 wine glasses.

Every time I read a Talia Hibbert book, I'm reminded why she is one of my favorite authors. The way that she is able to articulate emotions in such a way that they resonate deep within my soul and helps me to really connect with her characters in a way that makes an indelible impression on me that extends long after the last word is read. Dani and Zaf are such unique characters and I LOVED how they viewed each other and valued each other in the exact way that the other needed - it was so beautiful. And don't even get me started on the steamy bits, the inclusion, and the banter. As much as I can 't wait for Eve's story, I also don't want this series to end - I love the Brown sisters so much! Maybe she'll bless us with grandma's story :) 5 out of 5 wine glasses.

One of the BEST MALE NARRATORS EVER!

This might be my favorite book that I've read this year. I mean, I wish we got to know more about Max and Rosie's parents and upbringing, etc. but... I'm floored. I have never read a better alpha hero - strong and authoritative in the right way. Max loves Rosie so hard and so well; all he wants to do is take care of her and make sure that she's happy and that genuinely makes him happy. And Rosie is the perfect kind of quirky and relatable heroine. The steamy bits were unlike any others that I've read before and I AM SO HERE FOR IT! I also love that they're my age so I could really relate to the pop culture references from their past and just felt more in the pocket as far as relating to who they are as people. That also made the book a lot more real for me. I know that this is fiction, but it just reaffirmed something in my soul about love and expectations that may have been life changing. So yeah... 5 out of 5 wine glasses.

What a Way to Break A Heart-and Build It Up Again

(I received a complimentary copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest and voluntary review)

Where do I even start? This is my first Kim Holden book but it won't be my last (though if all of them yank at my heart like this one, I'll definitely need to pace myself). From the author's breathtaking, real, and honest exploration of mental health, to the FANTASTIC multi-narrator rendition - I was positively riveted for the majority of the book. I say the majority because honestly it took a bit for me to truly get in and invested but once I was keyed in to Toby and his story, I was in for the long haul. I shed a copious amount of tears and for multiple reasons, making this one of the most cathartic books I've read in a long time. While it was deeply emotional a lot of the time, the overarching feeling I got is one of hope in people and the power we have when we SEE each other and make the choice to stand with one another. I think that's a message that we need more than ever right about now. 5 out of 5 wine glasses.

The Perfect HEA for this Couple!

After the cliff we were left on at the end of Creole Kingpin, I can happily say that despite the bloody turn that Magnolia and Moses' road to HEA has taken, the couple came out stronger than ever! I love it when an author uses outside issues as an opportunity for a couple to grow closer as opposed to tearing them apart and we get a really good case of that here. I was surprised (but not unhappy) by the amount of blood and death, we got in this story but it totally makes sense given the setting and the couples background. And I have to say, the ending was oh so sweet! I'm always excited for Meghan March's releases and I can't wait to dig my teeth into another one of her books - fingers crossed she dives in deep to one of the worlds she's already gifted us with because I REALLY love it when her worlds collide and grow! 4 out of 5 wine glasses.
