Enchanting the Elven Mage is an exciting story that will keep you perched on the edge of your seat. Unable to put the book down, I found it to be fast-paced and very well written. It is filled with magic and mayhem, twists and turns, danger, intrigue, subterfuge, politics and romance. The characters are well developed and engaging. Filip and Aury seem to have real chemistry. I also listened to the audio version on Audible and found it to be enjoyable to listen to and easy to follow. The narration was well done. Overall, however you choose to enjoy it, Enchanting the Elven Mage is sure to captivate you!

Dread the Night, by JR Erickson, is a chilling tale that will leave you with a haunted feeling well after you finish reading it. As part of the Dear Celeste collection, I assure you this is the best book I've read from that amazing set. Celeste sets out for her childhood home in West Virginia, not really sure what she is looking for. Before she is done, she has far more answers than she ever expected. In some cases, more questions and answers than she ever wanted.

As per this author's style, the storyline is fast-paced and well-written, filled with questions about her past, unexpected answers, ghosts, betrayal, subterfuge, determination and grit. There's so much more that you just need to read to experience it. The characters are all well-developed and engaging. Celeste is so real to me at this point, that I feel as if I'm riding in her truck along side her, ready for the next leg of her adventure.

Overall, Dread the Night is well worth reading. I highly recommend it and anything else from JR Erickson!

Exile, by Jordan Rivet, is the 4th book in this exciting series. Just when I thought she couldn't possibly come up with something different to include in this series, Ms. Rivet surprises me yet again! Filled with danger, adventure, intrigue, subterfuge, murder, elation, dedication and even a tiny bit of romance, Exile has something for everyone. Searching for her batchmates, and inadvertently taking on the "baddies" of the New World, Jane puts herself in peril while trying to save her batchmates. At what point is the cost too much to pay?
The audiobook is awesome! It was easy and enjoyable to listen to. I highly recommend it!

The Worst Kind, the second installment in J. R. Erickson's Dear Celeste series, is everything I hoped for and so much more! Through her advice column, Celeste is once again drawn into the life of one of her readers in her quest to hopefully bring some type of closure to the troubled woman. River is seeking answers to questions that plague her regarding her origins, but you know what they say--be careful what you wish for!

I am a huge fan of this author and her unassuming, understated writing style. She weaves a tale so flawlessly that you don't even realize how immersed you are until you are fully invested in the storyline. The characters are equally well written. I love how both River and Celeste are down-to-Earth, women you would be proud to call friends. Jonathan, Celeste's husband, is the kind of guy we all love to hate. Each of her characters helps to create the story depth that is a common theme in the author's writing style.

The audiobook is amazing! You truly become fully immersed while listening, to the point where nothing else matters except the story. The narration is spot-on and is narrated by humans, not AI which for me is a big bonus. It will definitely level you wanting more!

Overall, The Worst Kind is an amazing addition to the Dear Celeste series. I highly recommend it!

Shifting and Shenanigans by Elizabeth Pantley is definitely a unique twist to the typical cozy mystery. I enjoyed the premise of the storyline, and felt that the book was written fairly well. What I didn't enjoy was the AI narrative. The word inflections were often incorrect and some words were mispronounced. In addition, making no attempt to differentiate between the character's voices took away a lot of the depth that could have been present. Overall, the book is worth reading, but not necessarily listening to.

Preserves and premonitions written by Bella Falls and narrated by Johanna Parker is the perfect finale for her Southern Charm Cozy Mystery Series. Filled to the brim with adventure, danger, intrigue, subterfuge, death, potential murder and pack politics, it contains something for everyone. It does a great job wrapping up the series and giving us a perfect ending. I highly recommend it as well as the entire Southern Charm Cozy Mystery Collection.

Barbecue and Brooms, written by Bella Falls and narrated by Johanna Parker, is both a light and dark rollercoaster ride that may very well spell the end of Honeysuckle Hollow. I was on the edge of my seat the whole way through; my head spinning from all of the twists and turns in this episode. I love how Charli manages to stay strong (at least on the outside) despite everything she goes through. The whole town definitely needs to pull together to come out on top in this one. Overall, it's a great story and one of my favorites so far!

Fried Chicken & Fangs, written by Bella Falls and narrated by Johanna Parker, is the 2nd book in Ms. falls' A Southern Cozy Mystery series. The adventure continues as Charli and friends try to solve yet another mystery and murder in their previously peaceful town of Honeysuckle. Quirky characters and a witty, intriguing and imaginative storyline make this an interesting addition to her collection. Good narration ensures an enjoyable listening experience. I highly recommend it, and am looking forward to continuing the series!
