Historia
Pretty Amy Denovo wants to find the father she has never seen, but she can't afford Nero Wolfe's outlandish fees...or can she? Suddenly, she's knocking on the detective's door with a parcel full of bills in hand - and a quarter of a million hidden in her closet. It's all part of a nest egg left by her unknown father. But when Wolfe and his able assistant, Archie Goodwin, begin to trace the money to the man, they make a startling discovery: Amy's father murdered her mother, and now he may be after her.

Chickens Stole The Show
Revisado: 10-21-22
This is the best book in this series so far. The big chicken sitting on Jeff and suffocating him (he deserved it, being such a sour grape and constantly causing havoc to all his friends) as well as transporting the two monster hens back home had me in tears from laughing so hard. l am looking forward to the next layer to be exposed on just what is that big raccoon by the name of Begger. The successful expansion of the Safe Zones are great to watch now with the railroad and balloon flights. There is a satisfying feeling of accomplishment after a hard day fighting monsters and going home to a hot meal, shower and comfortable bed in a place where the monsters can't enter.

Harry Dreadsen, he is not!!!!
Revisado: 07-31-19
The reviews claiming that this book is like the Harry Dreadsen series is very misleading. You wanna read something that seems so believeable that it will leave you wondering, read Harry Dreadsen. Harry Dreadsen gets in deep with cooking up potions and other magic in his cold basement with the skull giving instructions. He has a staff and a wand to focus his energy into destructive blasts. In case all else fails, Harry has a gun. Harry's cemetery scene at night in the cold rain feels so real. The cemetery scene in this book is skimmed over like everything else in the book.

S-l-o-w at beginning, but then around Chapter 19
Revisado: 07-29-19
The first few chapters had me lost as there was not much character building going on. Then the story skyrocketed when the main character had an accident with a little rock. I kept taking breaks while doing house cleaning to listen to a couple of chapters at a time. The space aliens and their reason for contacting us which was a refreshing idea that had me on the edge of my seat. The thing with one of the miners buying the Commander's old ship and then immediately commissioning the Commander's new ship to find the old ship is hilarious. I will be listening to this book again.

Great History Background!
Revisado: 01-26-19
I learned a lot about the Victorian Age that made the rest of the story believable. People think today's society's illnesses are bad, should read/listen to this book. It has made me appreciate living now than the 1800s. The mastermind of the train robbery was a genius. Those last minute changes to the train's schedule as well as the processing in getting the gold on the train had me sitting on the edge of my seat as to how it changed their plan. I will be listening to this book again!
