What a motivational Life!!
Revisado: 02-10-25
I had no idea that Arnold is so intelligent and accomplished. His story is absolutely captivating from a poor Austrian family to his focusing his goal through body building with a dream of coming to America, He Competed in body building with no money and knowing only a few words of English, It is so Commendable Putting himself through school , learning English, Acting lessons and high level college courses is truly remarkable . He then was influenced by educated people making the effort to learn from the Kennedy and Shriver families who motivated him to use his gifts to give back to the community.
A Republican living in the most famous Democratic Dynasty. He made his money by investing his competition money in properties before making money as an actor. A truly remarkable human who discloses his deepest regrets, fears and mistakes along with his triumphs and successes.
The last chapter is truly motivating. I believe this should be required reading for high school students.
The only reason I gave the performance 4 stars was because I think it would have been more personal if the entire book was read by the man himself.

A tale of codependency beyond belief
Revisado: 12-27-24
The child bride of Peter Lawford telling her own story of innocence stolen, money grubbing no responsibility teen who marries a drug and alcohol addicted actor who was abused as a child. It was her story more than his. Hard to believe that this woman was constantly ‘shocked’ at things that happens during this abusive relationship. Broke and left destitute unable to pay for her husbands burial.

Historia
Behind the curtain of her happy on-screen persona, Valerie Bertinelli’s life has been no easy ride, especially when it comes to her own self-image and self-worth. She waged a war against herself for years, learning to equate her value to her appearance as a child star on One Day at a Time and punishing herself in order to fit into the unachievable Hollywood mold. She struggled to make her marriage to Eddie Van Halen—the true love of her life—work, despite all the rifts the rock-star lifestyle created between them.

Historia
In a career that spanned decades, John Denver earned international acclaim as a singer, songwriter, actor, and environmental activist. Songs like "Take Me Home, Country Roads", "Rocky Mountain High", and "Annie's Song" have entered the canon of universal anthems, but at his start John Denver was a young man with little more than a fine voice, a guitar, and a dream. Growing up in a conservative military family, he was not expected to drop out of college and head to Los Angeles, where the music scene was flourishing. Nor was he expected to succeed.

Historia
In this intimate and open account—nothing like any rock-and-roll memoir you’ve ever read—Alex Van Halen shares his personal story of family, friendship, music and brotherly love in a remarkable tribute to his beloved brother and band mate. In his rough yet sweet voice, Alex recounts the brothers’ childhood, first in the Netherlands and then in working class Pasadena, California, with an itinerant musician father and a very proper Indonesian-born mother.

Historia
To the wider world, Al Pacino exploded onto the scene like a supernova. He landed his first leading role, in The Panic in Needle Park, in 1971, and by 1975, he had starred in four movies—The Godfather and The Godfather Part II, Serpico, and Dog Day Afternoon—that were not just successes but landmarks in the history of film. Those performances became legendary and changed his life forever. Not since Marlon Brando and James Dean in the late 1950s had an actor landed in the culture with such force.

Historia
Steve Harvey can't count the number of impressive women he's met over the years - the many incredible women who can run a business, have three kids, maintain a household in tiptop shape, and chair a church group all at the same time. So when it comes to relationships, why can't these same women figure out what makes men commit? According to Steve, it's because they're asking other women for advice when they should be going directly to the source.
