Wil. Sir. This raw, poignant, wonderful performance is so special. Wil's narration is always top notch but paired with this, an annotated look at who he was in the early 00's is so unique. Wil's annotations are funny, interesting, and sometimes really tough to listen to. His special asides for audio only listeners are even more layered and something I'm not sure any other performer could pull off.

This performance is hard to listen to at points. Wil does not hold back on emotion. He does not mask the trauma. Wil gives an honest portrayal of the life of child actor. You've never heard his story told like this before.

These books are great

The Parasol Protectorate is a fantastic series that is even better on audio. Though the first book had a few pronouniation issues, many of those are fixed from this point on. If only they can edit out the awkward long pauses that occassionally pop up this would be a full 5 star performance

well that was a lot of fun. The perfect October story to listen to while Im running around closing at work. It made everything go a lot faster. Halloween lovers will love it.

This book was just a plain good time. Is it perfect? no. Is it amazing? nah. But I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I didnt have to thing, just listen and enjoy.

Narrator, YES. Story, Not so Much

The thing that appealed to me a first about this book was the narrator. Really enjoyable to listen to and made me laugh a few times. However it's the writing I couldnt get behind. Maybe its the style or perhaps Im just way too much of an epic fantasy fan, but I don't think this one is for me. I was given this review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Interesting but My attention Wandered

This was an odd situayion to be in, when you love a narrator but the writing itself isnt what you want it to be. And yet in many ways the performance did a lot to improve my opinion as a whole. The story was very disjointed but she made it seem smoother.
