Historia
I’ve always been a wild card–the first to start a fight on the ice, and the life of the party off it–but appearances can be deceiving. Being traded to the Boston Rebels could not have come at a better time. With serious family obligations to fulfill and a contract renewal with a new hockey team on the line, I have no time for anything else. I return to Boston knowing I need to buckle down and focus on what really matters.

Worst ‘secret baby’ book ever!
Revisado: 04-08-25
Worst secret baby book ever! The child might as well haven’t even existed because he was just an afterthought being shoved onto others to be babysat, and the “father” couldn’t have cared less. This was also a stupid circus with all the petty drama surrounding the MMCs family, and how much emphasis was on all the unimportant side characters only so that the author could somehow turn this into a series about them all later. This was my first book by this author, and definitely my last. Utterly boring, stupid, repetitive, contrived, containing no real content, and too long for no reason.

Historia
I got knocked up in a coat closet. Now his faith led us to a marriage of convenience—and there's nothing convenient about keeping my hands off my baby daddy. I met every woman’s fantasy: six-feet-plus of hard muscle wrapped in ‘billionaire chic.’ His cocky, strong presence set me on fire—and we steamed up a closet. Then, the betrayal—he never showed up for our date next day. Four years later, I run into mystery man at the Ice Ranch and Resort. He’s Sean Ice, former rising star turned bad boy, fighting to save his hockey career. Still pure temptation in worn jeans. When he sees...

Virtual narration is HORRIBLE—not even worth a free book!
Revisado: 11-28-24
This was my first virtual narration, and my last! I’ll make sure never to hear one again—not even for free. The narration had no emotion, kept mispronouncing words, lost context repeatedly, and didn’t pause, escalate, or de-escalate at any appropriate times. Things like saying “give me the four hundred eleven” instead of “give me the four-one-one” were just the tip of the iceberg, and all over the entirety of this. The story itself wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t great. There were too many tropes thrown in, and none were fleshed out completely. Some were thrown in and never revisited, giving us no closure in them at all. It’s unfortunate, because from the blurb, it had so much potential, and could’ve been great.

One typo, and a boy and girl connect by chance. Wishing each other a happy Valentine’s Day isn’t the end. In fact, it becomes a friendly annual tradition—with rules: no pics, no real names, nothing too personal. As years pass, the rules for their email “dates” are breaking, and they’re sharing more than they imagined—including the urge to ask…what if we actually met?

Historia
Seven days was all it took for my life to change irrevocably. It shouldn’t have been possible to fall in love with a man I barely knew while on holiday, but I fell so hard I was still seeing stars when I made my way to New York City to begin my new life. Armed with a newfound confidence in myself, I was ready to distract myself from Sinclair by tackling the new challenges that awaited me in the city, reuniting with my estranged family, and launching my career as an artist in earnest.

Worst, most selfish and remorseless MCs!
Revisado: 06-15-24

🔥🔥🔥🔥
I made the mistake of starting Elena’s duet, and made it 25% in when I realized I had to read this trilogy first, so I paused that one and read this—which turned out to be a WAY BIGGER MISTAKE! I wish I’d skipped this and only read Cosima’s story before Elena’s! What a moral clusterf*ck this was! I HATED both MCs throughout the entire thing! Their selfish and remorseless actions—and thoughts—were abhorrent, and in my opinion, there is no redemption for these two. I will now read Cosima’s story, and then Elena’s, because I really am invested in those two—the ONLY WORTHY Lombardi sisters! Do yourselves a favor, and skip this abomination. *I must also note that I read along as I listened to the audiobook. The books are chock full of bad writing and grammatical errors, but the narration (especially of the third book, since it was a dual) was pretty good.

Historia
Is a week of passion enough to warrant changing my life forever? He was the most beautiful man I’d ever seen. An enigmatic French businessman with red hair, blue eyes, and an intensity that stirred something deep inside me that hadn’t yet been awoken. I wanted him instantly. And for some reason, he seemed to want me too. Only, he wasn’t mine to have. He was older, wiser, and infinitely richer, with a sophisticated girlfriend back home and no time for a holiday affair.

Historia
After years of turmoil, my life was finally looking up. I was launching my career as an artist at one of the hottest galleries in New York City, I’d reunited with my family, and most of all, for the first time in my life, I was in love. In love with a man I never should have allowed to make me his because he was never mine to have. There was only one thing that could derail my happiness and that was my guilt over my forbidden love for my sister’s boyfriend.

This entire series was so good! I thought I was going to dislike getting four different stories (and even more POVs) at the same time, but I loved it, and found that this format helped keep me hooked, especially since most of the chapters end in mini cliffhangers! I’m obsessed with all four storylines—and how different they all are, and every single character! Within all the stories, we get all the emotions romance readers yearn for. There are characters that are sexy, sassy, loving, patient, heartwarming, and will make you fall in love them. Their stories are filled with plot twists, angst, vengeful exes, and extended family that are both supportive, and not so much, but provide one heck of a ride! We get all the HEAs, and are left salivating knowing that there is another “season” to come with a whole new auction, and in turn, a myriad of new candidates, bidders, and exciting journeys—I can’t wait! ♥️♥️♥️♥️

Historia
To understand the monsters in the world, you have to get inside their heads. It's a dangerous place to be, especially when you start to empathize and lose your own sense of morality. But that's never happened to me . . . I've never felt conflicted on any case. Right is right and wrong is wrong. It's simple. Black and white. There's no such thing as a gray area. But f--k this case. I don't even know what side I'm on anymore. I don't understand how this town can continue to function without breaking under the weight of all the lies they've spun and lived.

This series was PHENOMENAL! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, and lost way too much sleep with it. I love a good revenge story, and when the one seeking the revenge is the female—YES, PLEASE! I cannot recommend this enough! It is a Mindf*ck indeed, but one of the best I’ve read! The twists and turns never stop, and the story just flows perfectly. I’d normally have a tough time stomaching gruesome content like this, but in this instance, I couldn’t get enough, and at times, wished for more—that says a lot about the author’s writing. Just spectacular! Do yourselves a favor, and read this ASAP; I wish I would’ve read it sooner. Five stars aren’t enough for this series!
Side note #1: The covers are misleading, because the spice level is pretty much nonexistent in these, but this does not in any way take away from how amazing these books are, and THAT is the mark of a great writer! So many romance authors leave spice out of their work thinking that will elevate it, but most fall flat of greatness, and should include the spice to at least give readers something to endure their mediocrity, but THIS series, THIS is one of those rare gems that shines all on its own!
Side note #2: There are five books in this series, but they’re all shorter than the traditional length of books in series, and I found this refreshingly delightful. They’re almost more like novellas, but I think that this worked well in breaking up the sinister content it deals with.
Side note #3: I was so disappointed to find out that the author was killed. May she RIP, what a lost talent! 💔
