This was not pride and prejudice. This should have been titled the silly and the senseless. Unfortunately,, I'm referring to the characters that we usually love. The other characters that are usually silly was more villainous. I don't know if this person has a learning disability, if so, I applaud them for writing. However, it should not be put up for purchase until it is a digestible book. As I said in the title, I wanted to like it , but could not.

Fitzwilliam Darcy had always been a man of honor- but, what if his honor lead him away from the one thing his heart could not do without? Which would he choose, honor or happiness? This story answers that question.

This story catches your attention from beginning to end. How would Pride and Prejudice change if Darcy and Elizabeth were forced into each other's presence long enough to understand the other's heart. This story answers that question. 4.5 rounded up to five.

I gave the one-star rating to hopefully get the author's and publisher's attention. It is a good story, unusual, and interesting. The problem is, it is difficult to "lose yourself" in this story There are repetitions of words and phrases. It is not the narrator's fault unless that narrator is also the editor.
The editor really dropped the ball on this one. And, whoever published this without making sure that it was quality work dropped the ball as well.
I have supported this author. And will continue to as long as she respects those who spend their money and buys her books in order to escape or be entertained, (at least for a little while.)
That being said. Everyone makes mistakes. Please edit and correct this work and I will happily change the rating. Though this review was harsh, it was necessary for the editor. To the writer, thank you for writing, and continued to write.

Complex characters, adventure, and, romance. The plot twists, and turns unexpectedly. Just when you think you know its direction, it turns again. An excellent ride.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this to a friend because it is well written.

What other book might you compare Sherlock Holmes: A Study in Regret to and why?

I would liken this to the following audiobook, My Dear Watson. In most of the Sherlock Holmes stories, the mystery is center stage. In these 2 books, the character studies are center stage. The mystery is a byproduct of the characters, their lives, and their struggles. For an Arthur Conan Doyle fan, who have read, and watched everything Sherlock like; well-written and different is refreshing.

What does David Collins bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He tells the story so well, you don’t notice him, you become engrossed in the tale. I think it is the task of the narrator to disappear into the floor. If the character transitions are not well done, or the narrator struggles over his lines, it is impossible to enjoy the story, no matter how well written.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There were several touching moments, as well as several moments where I bit my nails, or sat on the edge of my seat. I, however, will not share these. I do not want to spoil the story, for those who have not read the story yet.

Any additional comments?

Completely enjoy , and looking forward to part 2.
