Historia
For some it’s an opportunity. For others it’s a moment to question their faith: In God, in science, in everything. Still others try to keep the world running in the face of absurdity and uncertainty. And then there are the billions looking to the sky and wondering how a thing that was always just there is now... something absolutely impossible.

Lost me around day 23
Revisado: 04-20-25
I’ve enjoyed this author in the past and looked forward to this title. Sadly, expectations were not quite met. Then, when he threw in the “woke” and abnormal stuff, I was done. Is it mandatory to add that stuff in to get published? If so, hope that changes. I’d like to be able to enjoy his work again.

Historia
Ex-Army paratrooper Griffin “Fin” Brooks thought he left danger behind when his battlefield injuries forced him to pursue a new career in marine biology. But one fateful night off the coast of South Africa, a ship nearly crashes into him and his loyal golden retriever, Jacques. Not just any ship. A starship. Though its alien pilot is dead, the rare extraterrestrial animal inside is not. Fin learns the creature is being smuggled across the galaxy when a pair of interstellar visitors respond to the crash. But those same investigators accuse Fin and his dog of crimes he didn’t even know existed.

Perfect for a 12-year old kid
Revisado: 08-14-24
Too juvenile. And the premise of an unwitting “bounty hunter” new to the unknown galaxy is well overdone and derivative. Can’t listen past chapter 8 and can’t return the book.

This one has all the identity politics covered. There is the strong African girl, the Indian super scientist, the Hispanic super soldier lined up against the evil white guy with blonde hair and blue eyes. Oh, and it has a couple of plot holes you can drive a bus through.

Historia
This superbly told story brings to life one of the most remarkable rulers––and men––in all of history and conveys the drama of his life and world. The Russia of Peter's birth was very different from the Russia his energy, genius, and ruthlessness shaped. Crowned co-Tsar as a child of ten, after witnessing bloody uprisings in the streets of Moscow, he would grow up propelled by an unquenchable curiosity, everywhere looking, asking, tinkering, and learning, fired by Western ideas.

There can be no higher praise for this book
Revisado: 06-19-24
The author turns a historical shadow into a person that you can understand and empathize with over the past three centuries. His attention to detail and dedication to show the context Đenić the man lived, makes the picture of the man more relatable and perfect. Truly, this author is a master at his craft. I am grateful for his work and efforts to bring this history back to life. Or not for him, would have allowed this grave to decay. Thanks to him we can see the life that was. Well done sir.

Historia
Jordan McKell has a problem with authority. Unfortunately for him, the iron-fisted authority of the powerful Patthaaunutth controls virtually every aspect of galactic shipping. In order to survive, Jordan ekes out a living dabbling in interstellar smuggling for outlaw concerns that represent the last vestiges of free trade in the galaxy. So when Jordan and his partner, Ixil - an alien with two ferret-like "outhunters" linked to his neural system - are hired by a mysterious gentleman to fly a ship and its special cargo to Earth, they jump at the job.

Historia
Humanity is a dying breed, utterly reliant on artificial labor and service. When a domesticated robot gets a nasty little idea downloaded into its core programming, they murder their owner. The robot discovers they can also do something else they never did before: They can run away. Fleeing the household they enter a wider world they never knew existed, where the age-old hierarchy of humans at the top is disintegrating into ruins and an entire robot ecosystem devoted to human wellbeing is having to find a new purpose.

This was a wonderfully delightful story and a great took to look at ourselves through the eyes of the machines. The use of “rhetorical” had me in stitches. I could not have enjoyed it more. I thank you for your work Mr. Tchailovsky.

Historia
In the heart of the South Pacific lies Point Nemo, the most desolate and remote place on Earth. At its core is a dead zone, devoid of life, where government agencies crash their obsolete satellites and space stations, confident they won't harm a soul. When the International Space Station suffers a catastrophic failure and plummets through the atmosphere, it's here that Mission Specialist Julie Rohr, an astrobiologist studying living space dust called xylem, finds herself marooned. Julie's only hope for rescue lies in the hands of her estranged father, Dr. Finn Maddern, a renowned mycologist.

Preachy Indoctrination
Revisado: 05-27-24
Mr. Bray kicks it out of the park again! His voice narration is, as always, the best. Mr. Robinson, not so much this time. I think he may have overestimated the public’s appetite for preachy leftist anti-colonialism indoctrination to the detriment of the story line and to its ability for readers to relate thereto. All this despite his having benefited from our history and the fact it has produced one of the most liberal democracies in the world. It seems naively hypocritical and somewhat contemptable to me. As a result, I will be thinking twice and reading the reviews before I invest another credit in one of his stories.

Did Delovoa create Virtual Voice?
Revisado: 04-22-24
Great and fun stories completely ruined by the narration software. It is the type of uncaring destructiveness that Delovoa would haphazardly release into the wild. Seriously? Doesn't anyone bother to check to see if the software actually works? This should come up during someone's next performance evaluation and not in a good way.

Historia
The artifact is found seven miles below the surface of the sea and beneath 40 more feet of sand. The Navy's efforts to raise a wrecked submarine uncover it - and set in motion a scientific race to retrieve it, to discover just what it is and where it came from. Denser than any substance known to man, it has broken every drill bit they've tried on it and will not budge an inch. It resists every effort to breach it - or communicate with it.

Wasted Credit
Revisado: 04-22-24
The premise was interesting, but the execution was juvenile and lacking any meaningful depth. The narrator’s performance has me questioning if it was actually a computer program. The salting of DEI characters and themes was degrading for all but I suppose you have to normalize the amoral to get published these days.
