Historia
Greater love hath no woman than she who agrees to take care of her lover’s eccentric aunt while said relative recovers from knee surgery. Especially when it meant giving up her chance to stay with her lover at a castle in Belgium. Juliet Henry, artist and retired NSA agent, hadn’t known what to expect from Raphael’s Aunt Lollie and her organic seed farm in Maine, but it had not included a cast of retainers and neighbors worthy of any Agatha Christie novel and an attic full of sinister toys that seemed to carry a curse. What Readers Are Saying About Miss Henry In Miss Henry, Melanie ...

Virtual voice. Horrible. Pronunciations were horrible. No inflection. Sucked big time. Unable to follow the story. Would not ever listen to a book with this “technology “

The damn music between chapters was very loud and disturbing, much louder than narration. Very disconcerting. I disliked it.

For a 3 hour book very expensive.
I have enjoyed all the books by Kendra Elliot, especially the Mercy books. This is a well written and performed novella.

Historia
When Papa Pilgrim appeared in the Alaska frontier outpost of McCarthy with his wife and fifteen children in tow, his new neighbors had little idea of the trouble to come. The Pilgrim Family presented themselves as a shining example of the homespun Christian ideal, with their proud piety and beautiful old-timey music, but their true story ran dark and deep.

Abuse in the Wilderness
Revisado: 10-07-17
Hard to accept this story happened so recently. An abusive father with a terrified family under his thumb, yet outwardly everyone seems happy. This man was truly a sociopath and the devil himself.

Historia
Prosecuting attorney in the Manson trial Vincent Bugliosi held a unique insider's position in one of the most baffling and horrifying cases of the 20th century: the cold-blooded Tate-LaBianca murders carried out by Charles Manson and four of his followers. What motivated Manson in his seemingly mindless selection of victims, and what was his hold over the young women who obeyed his orders? Now available for the first time in unabridged audio, the gripping story of this famous and haunting crime is brought to life by acclaimed narrator Scott Brick.

Frightfull story!
Revisado: 11-28-11
This murder took place when I was in high school. It brings back memories of what times were like in the 60s, but this audiobook brought out so many details I was not aware of. I never knew what the title meant or what Manson's goal was. Fascinating book, listened to mostly in 4 days worth of driving. Scott Brick is wonderful as narrator. It is long, but every bit of the story holds your interest as you begin to realize how close Manson's dream came to reality.

Great book!
Revisado: 10-13-11
I listened to the 1st 5 hours on a car trip and the remainder the next day. There were times when I was on the edge of my seat. The author's performance took a little getting used to as at times it was monotone. But the story itself was so great - makes one wonder why people put themselves through this ordeal!
