Couldn't Listen Much - Incredibly Biased
Revisado: 06-17-21
I have read some impartial coverage of this case and this podcast is severely biased towards the daughter's. Since I know that the daughter's are fully indoctrinated Scientologists, I find it difficult to believe anything they say as the "church" controls everything they say publicly. In addition, Scientology is well known for routinely forcing children to completely separate from their parents, so this podcast is as hypocritical as it gets.

Historia
One rainy night, the unthinkable happens: Dylan Moran’s car plunges off the road into a raging river, his beautiful wife drowning as he struggles to shore. In the aftermath, through his grief, Dylan experiences sudden, strange visions: wherever he goes, he’s haunted by glimpses of himself. Dylan initially chalks it up to trauma, but that changes when he runs into a psychiatrist who claims he’s her patient. She says he has been undergoing a unique hypnotherapy treatment built on the idea that with every choice, he creates an infinite number of parallel universes.

Wonderful Psychological Thriller that Will Linger
Revisado: 03-26-21
I loved this book and couldn't stop listening. I was a little concerned about the potential Sci-Fi undertones, but there are no aliens or even a future dystopian society. Instead it's more of the multiple types of reality Sci-Fi that was a joy to explore. If you enjoy a twisty story that you can't predict, then this is the one for you. In addition to the intense plot, Brian is also a master at bringing a city to life around you as you're listening, and his treatment of Chicago is rich and deep. I know that I will never be able to say the word "Infinite" again without a look around and a pause. Take a dive into the book and see if you're able to say "Infinite" in the same way in the future.

Amazing Community
Revisado: 06-27-19
It's been a long time since I felt so enveloped in a fictional community. The characters are complex and believable and felt they could be my neighbors I couldn't stop listening and did not want the story to end. It seems that every new book by Brian is better than the last one and that's definitely true with this one. I loved the story, the characters, and the narration and I'll be listening to it again.

Historia
When a freak accident kills a driver on the remote roads outside Duluth, Jonathan Stride is disturbed to discover that the victim appears to be a "ghost", with a false identity and no evidence to suggest who he really was. What's worse, the man has a gun locked in the trunk - and it has recently been fired. The next day Stride learns that a Duluth college student has vanished and worries that the two incidents are related. But what would have put an ordinary young woman in the crosshairs of a man who has all the hallmarks of an assassin for hire?

Revisado: 05-08-18
I love how Brian weaves current events and global issues into his stories and makes them extremely entertaining. He's also a master at twists and turns that keep you guessing until the end. If you're looking for a great detective story with characters that feel completely real, then you need to grab this book. I got frustrated every time real life butted in and I had to hit the pause button. Enjoy!

Brian Freeman Gets Better and Better
Revisado: 02-13-18
I loved this book, and it's the perfect winter comfort/thriller book. The premise hooked me in the very beginning and I had a hard time turning the book off to go to work. I love the details that Brian puts into his writing and that makes you feel like you're in the middle of the story. If you like murder mysteries, this is a great one with a bunch of twists and turns and things you anticipate, only to find out you were wrong. 100% worth the Audible credit.

I loved this book and felt it was a great story that was very topical. The story felt so realistic and truly possible and was intertwined with an ongoing detective series. Brian Freeman's books seem to get better and better.

Historia
It has been almost a decade since Duluth said good-bye to its innocence. The city creeps ever closer to the 10th anniversary of the year in which it found itself both gripped by murder and united in terror and during which the pillar of its community, DS Jonathan Stride, had his home and heart torn to ribbons by the claws of cancer. Cat Mateo, an orphan with a knack for landing on her feet, has bid farewell to a life on the streets. This once-stray teenager owes her rescue to Detective Stride, the father figure she holds close to her heart.

Brian Freeman's Best So Far
Revisado: 03-22-16
I couldn't stop listening to this book! I love so much about Brian Freeman's writing, especially his ability to make you "feel" the surroundings as you're listening. He has a great talent for describing key minor details that make the scene feel real. And that's just the icing on top of a fantastic story with a ton of twists and turns that literally kept me guessing to the end. Just when I thought I figured out "whodunit," I found out shortly that I was wrong and pleasantly so. In addition, Joe Barrett is THE voice of the Stride novels now and I think his style matches the material perfectly. If you're looking for a great mystery story and a wonderful feel for the surroundings of Duluth, then this is the book for you. Highly recommended.

Many also got to know Tara from Dogtripping, David's tales about becoming a slightly nutty dog rescuer and the dog that started it all. Here, finally, is a book all about the inspirational canine who taught David everything he knows. Well, he did know how to tie his shoes before he met and came to love Tara, but that's about it.

Can I give this 20 stars out of 5?
Revisado: 01-26-16
I was feeling tired and worn out so started to listen to this to put a smile on my face. This book did so much more than that. My heart feels lighter and David's humor has made my week. I'm going to keep this on my iPhone to listen to whenever I need a smile. 10 stars out of 5! Thank you again David for all the hundreds of laughs you've brought to my life and to leading me to adopt Maddi, the best rescue dog ever.

Many Twists and Turns
Revisado: 05-04-15
This is a great book of suspense with a number of twists that you don't see coming. While getting all the characters straight is a little challenging in the beginning, you're able to hone in to the key ones pretty quickly. If you like trying to figure out who the villain is, you'll love digging into this one.
