Loved the interwoven stories
Revisado: 05-03-25
I, far the most part enjoyed this book. I primarily listened to it in my way to and from work, a long drive. The final chapter I had to read rather than listen to, the narration was so slow and devoid of emotion, that it ruined the final chapter.

The awful soulless voice
Revisado: 02-06-25
Could not listen to it. Tried for several chapters. Just awful. Suspect the book is AI too. Maybe not. I bought the kindle version but was so turned off by the audible version, I’m not reading it

Historia
Flavia de Luce has taken on the mentorship of her odious moon-faced cousin Undine, who has come to live at Buckshaw following the death of her mother. Undine’s main talent, aside from cultivating disgusting habits, seems to be raising Flavia’s hackles, although in her best moments she shows potential for trespassing, trickery, and other assorted mayhem. When Major Greyleigh, a local recluse and former hangman, is found dead after a breakfast of poisonous mushrooms, suspicion falls on the de Luce family’s longtime cook, Mrs. Mullet.

Loved the book. The narrator was annoying
Revisado: 01-09-25
The story was delightful. The narrator had strange speech patterns and sounded old. The story features young characters, a teenage girl and a child. I had an extremely difficult time getting past the narrator. Would love more Flavia, but won’t purchase with the same narrator

Revisado: 11-06-21
I ordered by mistake, I forgot that her books are see-through plots that are a vehicle for soft porn, Not my thing at all.
