This book is great for dog lovers. It prominently features Daisy, the main character's dog. I like the fact that the main character is older. It's hard to find books that aren't about people in their twenties. This felt like an accurate slice of life in Wyoming. The author described powwows and life on the rez.

Intriguing Short Stories

I appreciate that many of the characters were older. Sometimes it's hard to find books without a young adult protagonist. I laughed to hear one character call another a "professional gossip detective". The story, The Carnegie Ghost, inspired me to Google what a Carnegie library actually is. I had no idea. This book is definitely worth a listen.
