I am in love with this series. I love how Anthony Horowitz has inserted himself into his own book. I love that he named drops actual actors and artists as well as shares insights from work that he has done in his real life. I love listening to it on audible with Rory Kinnear narrating. I’m a huge fan of Sherlock Holmes and I will begin reading Agatha Christie novels as well.

An Obama Convert

This book is amazing. Absolutely inspiring. I'm glad I took the time to listen to it. So many of my family members have been anti-Obama people, I've never heard a good reason as to why. This book makes me want to know even more about this incredible couple.

Resonates so deeply

I grew up in Idaho. A small community that was predominantly Mormon. We were just a hair’s breath away from being the same as this bubbled fundamentalist microcosm that Tara survived. Just shy of that fundamentalist line. We allowed more indulgences in our life. I’ve been so far removed from that world that I had forgotten so many things that I learned. Hearing a recounting of her experiences brought them back so sharply and so painfully, that while I appreciated the universal message(s) in her book, it was the personal component that left me at awe. This is a must read. Beautifully narrated!

Absolutely loved to the story. Narrator did a great job, but I struggled with her inflection of the main characters voice. Excellent, well-rounded story that kept me engaged from beginning to end.

great book despite the narrating

I really enjoyed this book, but I really disliked the narration. I know it's just personal preference, but I didn't enjoy the narrator's telling but what bothers me most was the inclusion of music at random beginning and endings of what might have been chapters. Out of place and poorly manipulated and really took away from the story.

Ready to listen to it all over again!

Steven Weber did such an amazing job reading this book that I'm ready to start it all over again. The book, in and of itself is good. However, many parts are dated and border on hokey, but Mr Webber's brilliant reading performance kept me captivated the entire way through.
