Fade-to-black romance suspense
Revisado: 11-14-24
I am so sad we won't have any more books from this author, RIP.
This was a fade-to-black suspense romance that I really enjoyed, I will definitely be reading all her other suspense romance books. I really enjoyed all the survival info and tracking hacks this books shared, it made it so interesting and was very entertaining. Even though I listened to the audio, I did find it a bit repetitive, some things were repeated unnecessary.
I loved the narrator in this dual POV's in 3rd person. She did a great job with all the tones and there were lot of characters in this story. I especially loved hearing all the emotions from our characters in the narrator's voice, it really made for an emotional real.
Triggers: there are side characters that believe in hauntings and roaming spirits. Kidnapping. Over-dominant ex with stalker vibe.

Y'all I loved it.

I did go into this one thinking it was a suspense, only to find out there is no suspense. But still I was able to enjoy the story, more than I was expecting, even without the suspense. I loved the spunky FMC and how the narrator brought her character into scene - it was amazing!

Clean romance suspense
Revisado: 05-11-24
I almost DNF'd it at 30%. Actually I did stop, but picked it up again a month later and I pushed through it.
And I almost DNF'd again, not only was the audio terrible, but I still couldn't see where the story was going - the MMC still has a girlfriend at 50% and it baffled me.
But after the 50% mark the story picked up and it flowed a lot better, there was no more girlfriend, and I could see the HEA happening and making sense.
The story was good, but the audio was really bad. No matter what speed I put it on it felt like I was listening to something generated by AI. The narrator didn't have different tones for each character, which made it very confusing, because you don't know who's saying what. On top of that, it was very robotic. I didn't like it and I kept my speed at 1,5 to get through the book faster.

Historia
Sadie Miller isn't expecting any welcome-home parades on her return to Copper Ridge. Least of all from part-time rancher, full-time lawman Eli Garrett. The straitlaced, impossibly hot deputy sheriff glares at her as if she's the same teenage hoodlum who fled town 10 years ago. But running from her demons has brought Sadie full circle, ready to make a commitment at last. Not to a man but to a bed-and-breakfast. On Garrett land. Okay, so her plan has a tiny flaw.

enemies to lovers
Revisado: 04-28-24
Dual POV with single narrator. The narrator was awesome, she did both FMC and MMC's voices and a whole bunch if others and it was pretty good.
unfortunately I understand I'm not the right audience for this type of romance - there were too many sex scenes in this one for me to enjoy the story.
