Although I was born in Texas, I have lived in Florida long enough to consider myself a naturalized Floridian. I always loved to read. I have early memories of devouring Nancy Drew mysteries and getting in trouble for reading through the night. I earned a degree in English Education, but never taught. I was also interested in art, and went back to study graphic arts, and this was the field I worked in for many years. However, music was my first love. After leading my church choir for 20+ years, I lost my voice due to meds I have to take and had to give it up. Needing another creative outlet, I turned to writing. It was something I always thought I'd get around to eventually. I managed to finish my first novel somehow while still working. I retired a year ago and wrote my second book. I also like to paint, make jewelry and travel, especially to Ireland. I live with my husband, brother-in-law and a cat.
