I grew up in Maine but have spent the last five years in Naples, Florida, with my beautiful wife and two sons. My oldest son attends high school, and my youngest son is at the local middle school. We love calling Naples our home, and it was the inspiration for Somerset. Growing up in Maine, I always read Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Agatha Christie. I even loved the hard-boiled detective series such as Raymond Chandler’s Philip Marlowe. These all inspired me to write 1% Murders. I now read Laurie R King and Rhys Bowen, which pushed me into writing. Mysteries are definitely my love. I seldom read the young adult genre because I could never find a good mystery. When creating 1% Murders, the first volume in The Adair Classroom Mysteries series, I wanted a book for my sons to read; a whodunit mystery for sons and fathers. This was my inspiration for Logan and Ulysses. All my experience teaching in Maine, New Hampshire, and now Florida inspired me to write all the characters and settings throughout 1% Murders and will continue to inspire as I develop future volumes of The Adair Classroom Mysteries. The next exciting installment of Logan and Ulysses Adair's story will be Somerset Secrets: A Series of Short Stories: The Adair Classroom Mysteries Vol III. Look out for the release on 7/18/2020.
