Sean Mitchell was born and raised in Sacramento, California. He wrote a great deal as a young boy, pounding away on an old manual Royal typewriter until he could write 60 wpm...with ONE FINGER! His grandmother, Ethel Bangert, was an accomplished author and columnist, writing 32 books in her lifetime. After graduating high school, Sean studied Criminal Justice in college, then briefly became a Reserve Deputy Sheriff with the Amador County Sheriff's Department. He joined the California Highway Patrol in 1987, working as a patrol officer in the Bay Area and Sacramento. A good portion of his career was spent as a Background Investigator. He retired in 2015 and moved to Middle Tennessee with his wife, Eddie. His other interests include stage acting, traveling, and writing.He completed "Full Disclosure - An Applicant's Guide to Public Safety Background Investigations" in 2022, a reference guide for public safety applicants. His novel, "Spencer's Shadow" was completed in 2023. His next work, a collection of six short stories titled "6-Lane Highway", will be out in mid-2024.
