Patricia Qaiyyim was born in Michigan City, Indiana. She grew up in a large family and lived in several states throughout the Midwest; from life in small town Indiana to rural Mississippi with a few states in between. After two years of college, Patricia joined the United States Air Force where she served twenty-three years on active duty. Her first published book is "Moms In The Military: Raising A Child While Serving In The Armed Forces". Patricia became a mom early in her military career and spent most of her career tackling both service and motherhood; which was the motivation and basis for her first book. This book was awarded the 2023 Silver Medal from the Military Writers Society of America. Through her books, Patricia hopes to inspire, motivate, and educate others. Her new work, a collection of poetry will be published this year. She is currently working on a companion piece to Moms In The Military. Patricia and her husband have three children, two grandchildren, and currently live in Texas.
