My name is Nick Nixon. I am a published writer, author, audiobook narrator, illustrator, and cartoonist. Four of my novels are available on Amazon in Paperback, on Kindle, and as Audiobooks. They are The Frame, Murder on the 13th Green, The Main Street Murders, and The Chicago Connection. They are part of the Peter English, PI Mystery Series of crime novels set in the late 1940s. All of these novels are reminiscent of the old black & white film noir movies of the 1940s and '50s. There is plenty of action, mystery, murder and mayhem, good guys and bad guys, babes and bullets, humor, some history, and even a little romance in them. The fifth novel, Process of Elimination, will be available sometime in 2021. I have also written and narrated six children's books that I am in the process of illustrating now. And I have illustrated and narrated children's books for other authors. I made my living as a graphic artist and operated an advertising/marketing/graphic design firm for thirty-five years, with a staff of other artists and writers working for me. We serviced local, national, and international accounts. I love what I do now in my studio in the comfort of our home. With five kids and fifteen grandkids scattered around the country, I am never at a loss for material for the humor articles I write for various publications, which are accompanied by my cartoons. Since my wife allows me to work at home now, I also take out the trash, feed the dog, wash the cars, and supervise the yard crew.
