Monica Gonzalez was born in Cali, Colombia. She holds a degree in Tourism Management from the Colegio Mayor de Antioquia in Medellín, Colombia, and also studied accounting at Miami Dade College in Miami, Florida, where she currently resides. Her work has been recognized by the Municipality of Pereira, Colombia, and she has been featured as a participant at the XII Hispanic Women Authors Conference and the Miami Book Fair International, as well as the International Book Fair of Colombia and the Guadalajara International Book Fair in Mexico.
